On the terraces of the vineyard we can see the Tinta Negra Mole and Verdelho grape varieties, these grape varieties that produce the famous Madeira Wine. The property is in a group of houses with several hundred-year-old trees, with a large oak tree dating back over 250 years and several endemic Laurissilva species such as tis, vinháticos, barbusanos and laurels. The house has a decoration with several details, in a fusion between the classic and the contemporary, which accompanies the whole tradition of a family home. The house features a bedroom with two singles in traditional style with an outside access door so you can wake up with a fantastic view of the backyard and gardens of the house. Inside the property you can enjoy a walk along the stream, the gardens or the backyard outside, which allows you to have breakfast (not included), made every morning by the home keeper. During your stay you can participate in the process of viticulture or purchase the wines available in the house. The mother house has belonged to the same family since its inception and maintains its original architecture although it has been renovated and modernization works. THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW The house is situated in the northern part of the island, more precisely in the Rosário, parish of the county of São Vicente. Because it is in a more secluded area, you will not find any kind of shops in the vicinity of the property. A ten minute drive from the village of São Vicente, there you will find local shops, restaurants, supermarket and pharmacy. In the vicinity of the house you have access to several trails and levadas, where you can enjoy walking and exploring on foot our fantastic island. If you want to find other places or activities, the city of Funchal is 45 minutes away by car. GETTING AROUND We recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get to the house. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi by your own in the airport! GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to all areas of the flat. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We are always at your disposal to help or to answer your questions. You can contact us via our mobile numbers or by email. We will do our best to meet your requests. OTHER OBSERVATIONS ● According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card). ● Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team. ● All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties. ● Cleaning services during the stay, as well as the replacement of bed linen, towels, and consumables, are carried out on a weekly basis. If you wish extra cleaning service this can be arrange at an extra, affordable charge. The weekly cleaning and the replacement of bed linen, towels, and consumables will not be carried out for stays of less than seven nights. ATTENTION Please note that the property does not have a laundry room. However, there is the possibility of requesting a laundry service, carried out by our cleaning team, at an extra cost and paid in cash directly to them. It located in very quiet place and perfect if you want to relax from city life and have a car. The apartments are very comfortable and cosy with excellent design and decoration. Auch sehr nett war der Empfang mit Obst, Kuchen, Wein. Ich hatte mir einen Park vorgestellt, die Anlage ist jedoch klein und nur bedingt zum spazieren geeignet. Es gibt nicht wie angegeben eine Waschmaschine, sondern man kann die Wäsche zum Waschen jemandem mitgeben ( das fand ich störend). Ich würde das Haus nicht für Winter empfehlen, denn es gibt nur einen Radiator und der heizt den offenen Wohnraum schlecht. Den Kamin durften wir nach zweimaliger Nachfrage benutzen, das Holz brennt aber schlecht. Hervorheben möchte ich, dass unsere Ansprechpartnerin immer sofort geantwortet und geholfen hat. ##### Birgit R.
