"Although navigating the narrow streets and roads can be a challenge, once you get to the top of the hill, the spectacular views and the modern sleek accommodations are more than worth it. Although the nearest town (Seixas) is not exactly a bustling metropolis, it is very quaint (as are the neighboring towns), and there's really excellent access by major arteries to Porto and beyond. We found a local vineyard with a great tour (and lunch) at Casa de Cuca, and enjoyed kayaking and bicycling pretty...

"We were very well received by the host Nuno, who served lunch and gave a good introduction to the place. We had easily contact with the host, who managed our few requests without hessitation. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The house and garden had fantastic facilities with lot of space, swimmingpool and a billard table. During hot weather the house is nice and cool, but somewhat dark. All together we had a fantastic stay"

The property setup makes it great for large groups, as it has three separate floors that make it easy to split by affinity. Our hosts were communicative, quick to respond, and very welcoming. "My wife and I stayed a week with our two dogs. The garden is fully enclosed so the dogs could just wander about. The pool area is also fenced off so the dogs can’t go in. And yes the pool really is heated and it was wonderful. You do need a car to explore the area. We went into the mountains to explore the waterfalls on some days and down to the various beaches on others. Thanks to Manuel for being a wonderful host. We hope to come back in the future."

"We had a wonderful time in Silvia's villa! the location is perfectly situated close to the beaches, Porto, and the lovely town of Viana do Castello. The villa itself has everything you could want, a swimming pool, a barbecue area, games for kids, a pool table, and lots of social spaces. We had a chef come and cook a special dinner one of the nights and the kitchen was very well equipped! We loved our time there and will definitely return!"
