This is a lovely resort and the staff are hands down the nicest group I’ve met on my travels. Nice room, nice food, nice spa, nice friendly people, super clean…and best of all…pet-friendly!

Another fault free stay
Second stay at this property. As previous, the stay was perfect: comfortable beds, great shower, good room amenities, friendly and helpful staff and convenient parking. Food in the restaurant is excellent. Recommended.

Favourite hotel on the island
My favourite hotel on the island. Lovely rooms and surroundings. My only criticism is that nasty coffee in the rooms with UHT milk. No one wants to drink that do they? Restaurant is fabulous and well priced for the quality

First Class Hotel
This really is a first class hotel in every aspect - staff, furnishings, bar, food, and general facilities. We felt welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return

Beautiful grounds and nice restaurant/bar. Room tended to be hot as we were on the sunny side but I did not request a fan. Very easy to take the bus anywhere from here

Comical. Staff not great. But, will be back….
Fairly comical. Keys not working, no kids bed ready, poor housekeeping, rude staff, incorrect charges on food bill. Sentimental place to us though so will go back lol. Seems to have lost its spark since we were last there at Xmas. Spa was great though and the staff there are great.

For 4* suspect it could do with Air Con. in summer. Needs handrails around baths. Need a car or other transport. However, I would NOT let it put us off a return visit.

Lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Breakfast and evening meal options were fabulous with a wide variety for all.

very pleasant hotel with lots of friendly staff. Our room was very comfortable with a good bathroom consisting shower and bath. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. We eat in only once and I was not particularly happy with my meal.

10/10 and they welcome dogs. Hotel is in excellent condition, bed was comfortable. Room was warm and welcoming as were the check in staff. Only thing missing was a room service menu in the room. Restaurant was good, food quality was excellent and was good value for money. The breakfast buffet was good but I missed a more continental approach with fresh bread, meat and cheese but it’s hardly a deal breaker. Coffee by the way was excellent and actually strong and tasty in contrast with the usual insipid brew offered by most hotels these days.

Wonderful stay
Lovely comfortable hotel. Ate in the restaurant for all our meals and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Used the Spa facilities which were also excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend this place.

Business trip.
Lovely hotel very welcoming at check in and a great room, well presented and clean. Food in the restaurant was excellent a credit to the chef who personally recommended the Manx Queenies, thank you chef. Breakfast was really great and all staff were so lovely.

This was a very pleasant hotel if slightly dull by international standards. The thin walls between bedrooms were the only problem encountered. I did not need to hear the post-mortem of his wedding speech at 2am from the man in the room next door - nor his snoring later

Dog friendly, very important as it is hard to find on IOM. Lovely green views, lake view from our room. Clean. Parking. Really nice relaxing pool space. Friendly staff. Bar area nice and somewhere to sit with the dog.

Great hotel, quiet location, terrible breakfast!
I stayed here for 3 nights during September. The location is 10 minutes from Douglas which suited me fine for a very quiet nights sleep. The hotels on Douglas Prom can be noisy if near the centre of Douglas. The room was an executive room which was clean, very spacious and well appointed. The presentation of f the hotel overall is very good with well presented staff and overall good service. The gym is very well equipped for a hotel gym, and the pool is also well maintained. However, like so many guests have commented previously. The breakfast is very disappointing. Buffet breakfast service is very lazy, often overcooked, or dried out. The Comis was no different. What was annoying, was having to pay for a latte coffee with my dismal breakfast. Come on Comis, you can do better than this! I did order poached eggs one morning, never again. They were that hard, I sure I saw a golfer using them later on the green! Overall the hotel needs to address the dire food offered, I did not try dinner due to the breakfast setting the benchmark. I would suggest the owners and managers visit a Malmaison or Hotel Du Vin to learn how a hotel chain can do made to order breakfasts in a timely manner and never crucify a poached egg!
