Good Location Bad customer service.
As we went into the building the security guard stopped us and asked us where we were going— we explained we were checking in and he directed us to the room in the building where the “front desk” is. We knocked on that door for close to 20 minutes; we knocked from 9 am to 9:20 before we gave up and came down the elevator to the main building (A -> B). The security guard let us know he had no key for us and if there was no one there there’s nothing he could do. I called Expedia because this seemed like a ghost hotel, I asked for a refund so that we could go to a hotel, but they said no refund could be issued because it was non refundable— which I would understand if there was a hotel to check in, but we didn’t have a hotel. All of this took more than an hour and I’m calling from my US cell to Expedia costing me long distance charges. After an hour of waiting and being on the line the lady from Expedia finally gets a hold of the “front desk” agent; he refuses to refund my money and says he’s been there the whole time (which he hasn’t). We go up to building B and up the elevator, he opens the door. The receptionist was rude as soon as he opened the door, no apologies, just said he had been here the whole time (which he hadn’t). He is grumpy and rude the whole time he’s checking me in. Asking me for my passport and then going on a rant about me. In short, Would not recommend. We checked out at 9:30 and he was not there for that, I had to slide the key under the door.

Awesome location on Santiago
The room was clean and nice, except for the heater/cooler that was weak for the room size. The room service was nice and fast and the location is awesome!

Safe neighborhood hotel but..
You get what you pay for. You get a letter at the Front Desk with keys and instructions to pass by an office to leave credit card info. Which if you do, even after paying in full with all included you may be sucked into paying more. The area is very safe and so is the building. These apts eems to be subleased apt use to rent via Expedia. As the entire complex has permanent residents. Many places to eat and shop or be entertained. Transportation is convenient. For the money is worth it.

Worst service ever even for the price
First, the best I can say is it has a centric location and was cheap. However it wouldn't bother me to pay a little more for better room cleaning. The cleaning service lady was totally careless, I had to insist couple times with management to have the carpet get vacuum cleaned and change pillows covers. Some times didn't change towels or removed the trash, I tipped her trying to motivate an improvement, she didn't earned it but it didn't work. Doesn't looks like management cares as we were not the only ones complaining and now I see that other reviewers concur. Very bad to show Chilenian spirit.

carpet looked dirty and found some hair on the bed sheets...the apartment had two separate full bathroom with shower and two bedrooms, a living room with dining room and ful kitchen with all amenities needed...very safe area just three blocks away from Chilean presidential palace La Moneda...

Decent place, not much service
The location was great. However, the wifi didn't work and there was no toilet paper. we had checked-in on Sunday, but we didn't see any front desk service except just before 5PM when we checked in. The apartment itself was clean and spacious but had they avoided some basic house-keeping errors, our stay could have been more enjoyable.

Good location run down facility
The location and wifi were the only good things. The paint was dirty, towels were ripped, and carpets were stained. The bathrooms were cramped and one of them was missing part of the door handle. My daughter got locked in and we were about to call the front desk when we managed to open it through the hole where part of the outside handle was still hanging on the door. So if you are on a budget and want yo walk everywhere it is a good place. Otherwise chose somewhere else.

A lousy hotel - should be stricken from Expedia.
1) Unit meant for three people but pushed on to us as for four people. 2) Missing towels (for fourth person), bed was a pull out in the living room, dirty carpets, missing light bulbs. 3) Missing utensils, cups, cutlery etc. for fourth person not supplied even though repeatedly requested. 4) Cooking utensils not complete, e.g, spatula, cooking pan, no lighter to light the stove, no scissors, broken handle on pots and pans, no paper towels. 5) Unhygeneic , with bed bugs and itchy seats, remote and TV did not work 6) Rude staff, the office is hard to locate and the door is always closed, many a time unattended. 7) Elevators did not work most of the time. Our money should be refunded as the booking and delivery was substandard and legally in bad faith.

We were here over Christmas, so it was nice to have the extra space as well as the kitchen. There's a supermarket nearby, so we stocked up on food since most places were closed for the Christmas holiday. Comfortable apartment with a nice big bed; close to most of the museums and sights for tourists; not the quietest neighborhood, but definitely comfortable.

Decent price, bad service.
The hotel's service is not good. One day they failed to give us new towels and we had to use the old ones. We were also supposed to get a two-bed and instead we got a 1 queen bed and they promised to fix it and they never did. One day there was not any hot water. It's a decent hotel considering the price, can't ask for much.

Very central location
Location great, very central. Front desk staff helpful. Two details we didn't like were that the elevator to ground is only in parkade, from street entrance we had to take our bags up one flight of stairs and take a different lift to the room. Also, front desk is not 24 hours, family not able to reach us in our room after desk closed as there is no one to answer desk phone to transfer call to room. Room was comfortable.

Good place for the (reduced Hotels.com) price.
Location in central business district, easy to walk to many places. It's a samll apartment in a large apartment building, and front desk not very helpful, but when directed to a room toward back of building where the agent was located, they were helpful, allowed us to store luggage (and even change clothes!), were helpful with calling transportation to airport.

The real good thing about that Hotel is its location, but the rest is quite bad. It wasnt very clean and it was very dark in there because it only got 1 window, which wasnt that big.

Small, Comfortable Room
I stayed at the Augustina Suite during the third week of August with my wife. Unfortunately, there was no possibility of an early check in. This was because all of the rooms were full at the time. Once I got into the room, however, it was quite nice. The single bedroom suite is small. This isn't a bad thing, however. I quite liked it. It had a King Size bed which was awesome. Some of the stuff the room has includes: -LCD TV -Mini AC -Small fan -Mini Fridge -Radio -WiFi The bathroom was clean, stocked with towels daily. If there was 1 thing about the room that I disliked, it would be that the actual bath was sooo slippery! It has a handle inside, but even so, you'd be advised to watch your step. In conclusion, this room was great for what I needed. A place to leave my stuff, shower, and sleep comfortably at night. If you're planning on spending a lot of time inside the room, it's still nice, but it's kinda small.

Great place to stay
Large, very clean and comfortable room with all the appliances one needs. Good location in the city center with a large supermarket across the road. The staff were very helpful and eager: fulfilling requests immediately.

Nice apartment for a good price.
It was a good experience. It took only 15 minutes to get to the airport since we left really early in the morning. The only bad experience was the fact they indicated to have a 24/7 reception and they didn't.

The room next door they were renovating at 9am on a Saturday. When I complained they said the room next door wasn't theirs. Lift is slow and usually full.

A two star suites for the price of three stars
This is not a three star place. The walls were dirty and the toilet was linking. Despite I reported to the administration the never fixed so I had to use towells to get dry the floor. The breakfast is poor. It is a hard to find this place, because this is an apartment complex and they use some of this as a hotel. The bed was good and the location too. How ever this is too far from a three star place.

Very convenient for City Centre
Excellent, good value, city centre location. Across the road and into the pedestrianised area of Santiago. Good local amenities. Reception very helpful - we arrived early after an overnight flight and they moved bookings around so that we could move into an apartment immediately for our 4-day stay. Helped book bus tour into the Andes. Would stay again. Rooftop swimming pool not in use.

The hotel was in a perfection location. Nice walk to the centre plaza. Lots of cafes. Hotel was spotless and they brought up a very nice breakfast. Everything was very clean and when we called for anything the service was very prompt. Would highly recommend

Excellent location--walking distance to many interesting things----minor cavils--elevators unreliable---although we had a couch the TV was in the bedroom--should have been one in the living room--they couldn't supply a converter plug for a US computer or advise where to get one---there's a row of electric supplies stores near the Central Market--success.I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I have tried a few apart-hotels in Santiago, and have never been 100% at ease. They all seem to be in residential apartment blocks, the reception is not at the entrance but rather up on the umpteenth floor, and guest rooms are among long-term residents. It does not give a complete feeling of security and safety, and there is occasionally noise from nearby residents, which of course the hotel cannot do anything about. Further, the reception is not there full-time, so if you arrive late or have an issue during the night, you can be stuck. Luckily, I arrived just as the receptionist was leaving, and the room was very well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast was left in the minibar and was a bit ordinary (no milk left with the cereal, no tea or coffee), but it was fine for a good night's sleep in between flights and business meetings. In future, though, I feel I would be more comfortable at a traditional hotel.

- no air conditioning in the room, for the price, not worth it, was stifling hot at night - major construction next door in other building, made it unbearably noisy - nice roof top pool, yet impossible to use as full of kids, and only open till 8pm - difficult for cabs and people to find, no signs, and tucked behind busy high rise

Location of this hotel is pretty poor. No restaurants nearby and we struggled to find anywhere open to eat. The room was meant to have a balcony and didn't and the pool and fitness area were closed for renovations and unavailable. We were also given a remote control to work our air conditioner only there was no air conditioner in the room! Overall a bit run down and poorly located but pretty cheap so good value for money.

This is not a conventional hotel -- no reception desk on arrival, porter, etc. It is a collection of unsold units in what looks to be a condo building. The 'front desk' is for the condo, not the hotel and, when I arrived, no one there spoke much English. I was fortunate in that the driver who brought me from Valparaiso to Santiago called ahead and let the hotel staff know I was coming, so someone came down to lead me up to the 17th floor where their office is located. Once check-in was navigated, it was great -- room was wonderful, full kitchen, if you wanted to cook (I didn't), huge, comfortable bed, nice tray of fruit, juice, surprisingly good instant capucino, meat and cheese everyday for breakfast. The location is within walking distance of the Central Market and many other attractions. Staff also were helpful in arranging tours and transfer to the airport. Santiago, by the way, is absolutely wonderful -- friendly people and stunning architecture.

Good value apartment in centre of Santiago
Excellent situation in central Santiago, in a pleasant street with cafes, restaurants etc all readily accessible. The apartment with separate bedroom and living room with small kitchen was comfortable and very clean, and the buffet breakfast provided in the apartment is excellent. The bathroom was clean and adequate. We could have done some self-catering but the lure of all the good eating places nearby was too much. Checking in / out times flexible, and this was very helpful to us. Laundry rooms in the building mean you can do your own laundry for a fraction of what it would cost when the hotel does it for you. Good value, comfortable, and we would return there.

A top-notch clean place to stay in the heart of Santiago's pedestrian zone; unfortunately next to a very active construction site (Jan. 2012); individual rooms are distributed over a very large high-rise (30 floors); lack of a hair-dryer (despite an explicit request) and of a phone impaired overall impression as did the lack of English knowledge of hotel staff; breakfast is stored in the fridge the day before and may not be called buffet-style, but continental at best.

I booked this apartment for one night as our son was staying with us for the last night in Santiago. I was under the understanding or assumed that it was a 2 bedroom apartment and was surprised to find the bed for the 3rd person was a single settee bed in the very small lounge area. There was a balcony with no seating overlooking a construction site. hat aside the two managers there were helpful in allowing for a late check out and storing our luggage as we had a late flight. The continental breakfast was very simple. There is a Supermarket across the road and plenty of eateries and cafes nearby.

Hotel Augustina Suite Apt. Hotel - not as expected
Not a normal hotel setting. It is a high rise apartment building where they rent out apartments as hotel rooms. Office is on the 17th floor. Internet is very intermittent and weak when online. Breakfast is really a tray of two rolled pieces of cheese and ham. Fruit cup and 8oz juice cartoon placed in frigerator everyday. Oh, one coffee, one sugar no creamer, they don't use it so you don't either! One office person on duty 8am-11pm, who is very busy. Hotel is down town, busy during day, dead at night. Need taxi for night life. Transportation is good in Santiago. Only found hotel by address, no name on building or in lobby of business building. Have no idea what hotel picture represents, top of building? Room was clean and comfortable with kitchen. Office personnel were friendly and helpful when available.

Agustina Suites Apartment Hotel
This hotel is actually a collection of suites in a large, multifunction building. I stayed on 17th floor near the hotel office, which is a small room occupied by one person and measuring about 8 X 12 ft. There is no hotel lobby (as opposed to the general lobby of the building), breakfast room or other common facility. Breakfast consists of a small tray of bread, cheese, ham left in the frig. The hotel is on Huerfanos, not far from Constitution Square, but the surrounding blocks are dark and scary at night and there is absolutely nothing nearby in the evening of any tourist interest. There are no desirable restaurants within convenient walking distance of the hotel. Arriving there on Sunday evening, I did feel a bit like a prisoner in a fortress. I was advised not to carry much money b/c of the risk of being robbed The streets were eerily empty after about 9 pm. During the day, the surrounding blocks came back to life at around 12 noon, but my impression is that the area is rather downtrodden and less desirable than, for example, that surrounding the University of Chile, which is only one or two metro stops away (on red line). My small suite itself was adequately furnished tho' the living room was not particularly functional and there was no convenient place to put a suitcase. The suite did not appear to have been recently occupied, was stuffy, and smelled of smoke. The one-man staff was extremely pleasant and courteous. I did not have to chck out until 2:30., which is later than in most hotels. Relative to the limited facilities of the hotel and the dreary surroundings, I feel the price was excessive
