Relaxing weekend
We had a great time celebrating birthdays this weekend. The boys mostly enjoyed fishing off the dock and the women enjoyed conversation on the porch. The house had everything we needed from cooking to watching football to sleeping.

Great 4 day weekend getaway!
Very well maintained home, nicely stocked kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, utensils etc. Home was very clean and no odors, comfy beds & a quiet, peaceful neighborhood! The kids loved playing with the foosball table and Lincoln Logs lol We enjoyed our 4 day weekend getaway! It was just what we needed Thank you for sharing your home with us. ☺️

Very 70s style but comfortable. Plenty of room/beds for our party of 12. Having two refrigerators was great. The provided linens/towels was a plus and there were plenty of them. Great views, smooth water & easy access to the main lake. The grill does not work. Yard has plenty of room & nice shade in the AM. Having three trash cans to put the trash in when we left was also a plus The Porch is not climate controlled but does have multiple doors to allow a breeze which makes it semi usable. Boat ramp is large enough for a 20 ft boat or a double jet ski trailer & very convenient. A little shallow and too grassy to fish or swim from the dock. Had to rake out the area around the boat ramp to be able to use it, the end of the ramp & beach (which we could not swim at) were covered in about 4-5 feet of vegetation during our visit. Not the owners fault but we were disappointed none the less. Would have been nice to have been notified of the excessive vegetation/grass issue/condition of the water before we rented this home. The Entrance door knob sticks & locks itself, can lock yourself out if no one is inside to help open the door. We took to keeping the key on the porch & not closing the door tight, pushed it closed just so it shut but did not latch. The biggest complaint was the A/C units were both off when we arrived at 6:30 PM & it was 96 degrees upstairs & 86 degrees down stairs. It took until 11:00 PM to get the place cool enough to be comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great location for some fresh air
What a great place to escape the city! Our family stayed here with our kids’ friends and 2 dogs, with the accomplished goal of unwinding before the school year. While feeling older, the property is very well-maintained and very clean. The sunroom can get very hot, and while there is an exhaust fan, it was infeasible to leave our dogs back there in the summertime. We locked ours up in the AC when we went to Walmart (about 30 mins away) for provisions. If you happen to rent the boat as well, do take note that the nearest marina’s fuel dock is no longer in service. The nearest one we could find was the 3rd one we tried, about a 45-minute ride away at the Marker 79 marina. We topped up right away and then again before leaving.

just adequate
We were fairly comfortable at this home. We decided to stay despite some issues, but were disapointed in a fIew things. First thing was our first morning. We turned the oven on and smoke bellowed out of it. We had to turn it off and when it cooled down, I had to wipe out the oven with a sponge. Someone had sprayed oven cleaner in the oven and did not wipe it out. This is a self cleaning oven so it shouldn't have been sprayed in the first place. I am 70 and shouldn't have had to do this. The dock looked great but we could not fish or swim due to the high volume of grass. (Not the owners fault) However, the boat ramp was slick with green slime and was very visually unapealing. The tub in the upstairs bathroom has a very spongy bottom and the faucets spun around we had to push in on them to get them to work. Also the bottom was very slick and there were no hand rails to hold onto getting in and out of the tub. On the last morning I was cleaning the vanity and found the bath mat rolled up under the sink. That would have been useful from the first day. All the light fixtures in every room had a film on them. I don't think they have been cleaned in quite awhile. There was a plumbing issue in the upstairs hall bath toliet. We were able to plunge it and got it fixed. The washer/dryer need to be replaced. The dryer does not dry throughly and we had to run it a few times to get things dry. We did not appreicate the note left next to the washer by cleaning crew.
