Feed back from a lot of the hotel residents was that the food was repetitive, however, we had room service twice and it wasnt great. No condiments, sent with the food. It wasnt expensive to buy but, if you did'nt go half board which we were because Expedia made a complete mess of the booking, they would charge you 15 euros if you bought at the reception of 20 euros if you bought each day..
No tea or coffee making faciltities in the room at all, so we had to ask for a kettle, buy tea bags and go for milk to the restaurent every day.
TV in the room, dosent cater for English apart from News channel. Which many people complianed about, the silly thing was that the other channels were all English/Amercian films dubbed.Hotel didnt have any entertainment at night at all. Hence you would go to room by 10 or 11 pm. Sorry they did put on a couple of terrable singers on Wednesday's but again they sang cornie music from 60's 70's and it was repeated both weeks.
Pool lovely and SOS person Alex is the best ambassador for the Hotel under estimated how clean he kept the area.
Also everyday there was Aqua keep fit which was great fun.
Spa is amazing.!!!
There are many really good restaurents near by which are really reasonable Cocina was a favourate, there are super markets and they cost of food and alcohol is unbeliveable reasonalble.
Would be go back no. But it was a lovely hotel.
A pleasant hotel about 10/15 minutes walk from the centre. Good underground parking (free). The hotel seems to function as a training school (as the name suggests) and there are plenty of staff around. We dined in the first night but were the only ones and therefore went out on other nights (taxi to town 2.75 euros). Food was good but on our own there was no atmosphere.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and clean. It was centrally located, within walking distance to many sights and the bus station. We were there for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. We weren't prepared for how deserted the city would be on Christmas Eve. Breakfast was included in our rate, which was very reasonable. The desk is manned 24 hours/day. The staff was always friendly and helpful.
We booked a week to coincide with Carnaval and it was the loudest and most colourful party ever. Highly recommended - join in and be astonished, but you won't get any sleep. On other days we really enjoyed exploring this very Spanish (not touristy) city as well as La Laguna (World Heritage Site) and other places nearby, very easily reached by public transport. We spent much of our time eating and drinking and strolling around looking at the sights.

We spent a week here in January. The hotel is right at the heart of the city. The nearby streets are pedestrianised with lots of cafes and restaurants. Getting about is easy with the tram stop 5 minutes away taking you one stop to the city bus station. The promenade overlooking the busy harbour is also 5 minutes walk .

Hotel was good value for money, but watch out for laundry. I was charged 112 Euro, yes 112 Euro for 3 small loads of laundry and we're talking shorts, t-shirts, socks and underwear. I didn't pay until I left so I had no idea I was being "ripped off" like this. They send it out and make a small profit according to the manager, but I think this is outrageous as there seems to be no alternative to using this service. VERY unhappy about this.
Pocket Guide: Tenerife Santa Cruz de Tenerife Hotels
The capital of Tenerife, Santa Cruz is a busy, largely modern city visited by day trippers. It is a good place to stay if you wish to avoid the island’s more touristy aspects. The shopping is excellent (particularly the daily market), golden San Andres beach is the most attractive on Tenerife, and there is a wide choice of authentic Canarian bars and restaurants. Plaza del Principe is a charming square, home to the Municipal Museum of Fine Arts.
