This family owned hotel is a diamond find. The hospitality and guest services are exceptional and genuine. Niccolò, Simonetta and Matteo are friendly, kind and always ready to help you in your exploration of Montepulciano, restaurants and many other sites nearby. The room was spotless, comfortable and the complimentary breakfast quite satisfying. We hope to return to this wonderful little hotel.

This was one of the best finds on our Italian journey. The hotel is super clean and in a quiet side-street within 5 minutes drive out of Montepulciano.Breakfast was generous and went beyond a simple continental spread.Nicolo on Reception was a manic joy with cheerful endless banter whose enthusiastic welcome was continued throughout the whole day as he never seemed to be off duty! A delightful short stay heartily recommended.

Excellent hotel. Inexpensive, spotlessly clean family owned small hotel. Wonderful breakfast with freshly made cakes. Fabulous hosts. It’s located in a very small town with limited restaurants/shops nearby, but there are a couple of restaurants walking distance and Montepulciano is only a short drive. Swimming pool is great, but about a 5 minute drive away.

This hotel is clean, tidy & well run..the family are very kind & helpful nothing was a bother. We didn't realise that this hotel is not in the centre of Montepulciano, so not having a car was a problem..however Mattao organised the bus timetable for us & his partner drove us to the local swimming pool..

What an incredible gem this place is. Easy parking, above & beyond family run Excellent service. Incredibly clean, spacious rooms. Just an hour or so & less from other great areas to visit which the hotel will help you with. Great breakfast too!

Outstanding small hotel
Wonderful family owned modern hotel, with elevator, spotlessly clean. Well-situated to explore the beautiful region. Proprietor, Matteo gave excellent suggestions about where to go, what to see and even where to eat although the hotel offers three course meals at a reasonable price. Wish all hotels were this welcoming.

Twelve out of ten!
Amazing! We stayed here for one night and the cleanliness was impeccable. The attention to detail and customer service was the best we have experienced in Italy. We were served an outstanding breakfast and the beds were super comfortable. Overall, it was fantastic!

Stay here for Montepulciano!
Our second stay in two weeks returning due to the brilliant staff and service as well as this being a lovely small hotel. Not luxury, but clean, comfortable and everything you need for a short stay. Great location for visiting Montepulciano (10 mins drive) and Tuscany generally - and at a fraction of the price of other hotels. Staff are unbelievably helpful with local info and both dinner (reasonably priced) and breakfast (included) were great. Other good dining options within 5 mins walk. Will definitely return!

Great Stay!
I stayed at this wonderful family run hotel with my Mother and husband (all 3 of us loved this place). The room was very clean and spacious. Top notch service and hospitality. Breakfast was included and very, very, good (including the cappuccino, coffee and hot chocolate)! The location was a great jump off point for other towns in the area. Also, there are restaurants near by that were great as well for a reasonable price. I've stayed at 10 hotels during this European vacation and this place is by far the best - price, qualify and service. Niccolo was hilarious (you'll know what I mean when you stay there). I usually do not write reviews, but this place warranted it. Loved Tuscany and Hotel I Due Cigni!

Small family operated hotel 5 minutes from Montepulciano. Very friendly, comfortable for a 3+ star hotel. Breakfast was included and quite adequate. Great cappuccino!! Would recommend as a reasonable priced location if your in this area

Lovely family owns and operates this hotel. They care and the service was excellent. It was one of the hottest days, but AC worked perfectly well. You have to drive to Montepulciano, but it is clean and cheaper.

Du Cigni is the best.
This is a family owned and operated hotel. They went out of there way to come and get us when we got lost. Driving at night with no GPS. We called them and they came to get us and led us to their hotel. Hotel was extremely clean, the staff was helpful.

What a Gem!
The hotel is light, bright, modern and well cared for. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the valley. The breakfast was very plentiful and fresh. The hotel is run by a family and we were treated as if we were part of that family. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was helpful and friendly and made us feel as home. We had a wonderful stay and were sorry to leave.

Best hotel staff I've seen in Italy
Just wanted to thank all the people working at the reception for being so nice, welcoming and funny! The room was a little smaller to our liking but very clean. The bathroom had a nice water pressure and views from the window were gorgeous.

Great experience. The Cigni brothers, Matteo and Nicola along with their mother, go out of their way to make the stay memorable. Nicola is very, very ebullient while Matteo is more focused. Once you meet Nicola you won't forget him; and everyone should meet a Nicola during their lifetime. The "hotel" itself is clean and modern. Breakfast was decent. Free parking is plentiful. Somewhat removed from Montepulciano, but not to worry, Nicola will tell where you can park for free at the city's edge. We enjoyed our time here.

This was a very pleasant surprise stay. We booked late as we had an extra night in Tuscany and this place exceeded our expectations by a bunch. Nicolai, the desk man, bell hop, tour guide, host, and stand up comedian is the best Service person we have ever encountered, his personality is worth the stay. The hotel and surrounding area is great.

An engaging stay near Montepulciano
The welcoming staff and the quality of their breakfast food and service made our stay at I Due Chigni enjoyable and memorable. San Albino is fairly quiet, but Montepulciano is very accessible from the hotel's location. We realized we missed a treat when we ate elsewhere for dinner. We enthusiastically recommend this hotel.

Great base for touring the heart of Tuscany
The amazingly helpful, friendly, welcoming family of hosts provided excellent service and valuable sightseeing advice for our four-day stay, along with free-flow breakfast cappuccinos. The balcony off the room provided us with late afternoon views and relaxation after touring. We would definitely be happy to return to I Due Cigni if we visit the area again.

Good for one night
Clean room with extremely friendly staff. For the low price I paid it was very good. I just needed a bed near Montepulciano and this did the trick. The walls are a bit thin and the rooms are bare but it's fine for an overnight.
