Stayed here for a part of our honeymoon trip and first timer in Ibiza. Pros: - accessible quick food stops nearby and walking distance - less than 30 min drive from the airport - we paid for breakfast with our stay and it was a good variety and quality Cons: - quality of hotel and rooms definitely does not match the marketing photos online - older appliances (fridge, etc) - someone must have broken glass in the room prior to us staying there and there were still tiny specks of it, ended up getting one in my foot as a small splinter - the worst pillows I’ve ever slept on - they were all long, flat, and stuffed with hard cotton. My neck and shoulder ached for days - bed didn’t come set up with a blanket, only a sheet. Had to call down to request for a blanket. - there is no counter space in the bathroom - periodically find tiny ants crawling on the bathroom floor Overall cons outweighed the pros for sure. We’ll be back to Ibiza but not to this hotel.

The room I stayed in had a big balcony overlooking the pool with an amazing view. We had a problem with our water heater the first day (no hot water), but the maintenance man repaired it quickly. It was in a good location with lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. I recommend this hotel.

Fabulous people but the rooms need more attention, the towels need to be replaced, my phone didnt work and safe was out of order. The breakfast was very good only i wish the pool area stayed open a little later and i wish they cleaned the pool area before they allowed people in. I eat early and i alway felt like i was in their way . Also they charge for water bottles. But coming from other countries you can not trust different tap water for fear of diarrhea or upset stomache. So was charged for the water bottle i used to brush my teeth. Again the people are extremely nice and extremely helpful. I would stay again now that i know the ropes.

This hotel is well located near restaurants and bars, and about 30 minute walk to San Antoni. The apartment is basic, but nice and spacious. There is a lovely pool with a lot of sun beds around it, and a decent gym to work out. The staff were extremely friendly, and always were able to make sure that our stay was super enjoyable. One thing I will highlight though is that this property and Axel brand is supposed to cater to LGBTQ passengers, however I would say that the clientele who stayed here were the complete opposite of that. It was primarily late teens/early 20s party people staying there. I’d suggest for LGBTQ passengers to stay in Ibiza town where there is more of a scene. Overall it was a great stay.

Great pool (when it's open, hours of the bar are surprisingly limited for an Axel hotel). Room was a premium option, which still have a smell of sewer gas and corroded fixtures in the shower; the bathroom containing it also had a window which failed to lock. Main issue was the room air conditioning, which is a central system. The main unit for which is either seriously underpowered or not functioning at all. Multiple reports (to the very nice and welcoming front desk staff) yeilded no real fix beyond a visit from the (days only) maintenance person. When he came to investigate the complaint of no AC, mumbled something about the roof and wandered off having solved nothing. Based on the smattering of hot water heater boxes around the hotel, it seems this location is being renovated and they know there are issues, however don't communicate that directly with guests. Has the potential to be a great beachside location for the axel brand, however it's not the same experience (by far) as the flagship Barcelona location. 3 star at best for those comparing North American standards.

Great hotel and professional staff! I was greeted by Roberto and he made me feel welcomed right away. Roberto, Chris, and Daniel gave me excellent suggestions and service. Lucio the bartender delivered great personable poolside service. I swam every morning in the sea and thoroughly enjoyed Axel Beach hotel. The spacious suite had two balconies, a functional kitchen, and a clean modern design. The menu was decent. I will stay here again.

Stayed near end of summer season in Ibiza. Few gay guests it seemed. Pool area is popular afternoon hang-out spot. Breakfast buffet not impressive. Room was spacious (junior suite) with large terrace. Not much of a beach nearby, but that's OK.

Kind of depressing stay. Paper thin walls/door meant I basically got no sleep whether it was the group on one side of me partying during the day or the group the other side partying all night, or the constant sound of doors slamming shut in the hallway because there’s no decent sound insulation. No duvet on bed. Bare bones breakfast.

We stayed here after leaving our previous hotel part way through our holiday due to it being substandard. We are so glad we did because it saved our holiday! The staff were all always really happy, helpful and friendly. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded and the room was amazing, huge and well equipped. The pool was a great base for relaxing. The hotel has a really welcoming feel and we couldn’t have been happier. The location was perfect for going for a walk along the beach, plenty of places to eat within a mile walk. Loved it!

Love this hotel. I’ve been staying here for several years now and it will forever be my ‘Ibiza home’. The staff are amazing!!! Cannot fault them. Always great me with open arms and happy faces. Always happy to help and reply to any emails or question you have. The apartments are clean on arrival but daily Housekeeping is a little disappointing at times. Not the same daily clean you experience in different hotels, it is more basic. They replace towels daily and empty bins but are not so quick to change the bedding or restock sugar etc unless you ask them to, which they will then happily do it. I do have a little sympathy for them though as the hotel is extremely busy during season and the turnaround of the rooms is constant. Pool area is clean and is a vibe and the bar staff are so friendly and happy to serve and help you. Gym very well equipped, modern and clean. The Spa massages are highly recommended too (especially the lavender relaxing massage) I would recommend these apartments and i will always return there as i genuinely feel safe, happy and welcome (which is super important to me when abroad). Also, the size of them is amazing for the price. Deluxe pool view apartments are highly recommended, the view is amazing. Personally I wouldn’t bother with breakfast here (no offence) as there is a lovely family run cafe directly opposite and they offer a very extensive menu at great prices and the food is homely and made with love.

If you think this is an LGBT hotel and a safe space then think again. Has the potential to be a great hotel but unfortunately full of groups of yobbish louts who don't know how to behave on holiday around the pool areas. Staff did nothing to address what at best was anti social behaviour, although more like threatening behaviour.

Get your own towel!
Had to complain to Hotel Manager on day 2 to sort out issues (which I dont like to do given I worked in hotels before and know it’s a challenging operation, but it was so bad we almost checked out so had to speak up ) and then things got better- first 24 hours we were running around from pool to reception several times to get a towel, it was impossible to get one ( washer was broken, noone know when you get more blabla - you should have plenty in a pool beach hotel or put 2 in a room), also got rude attitude from one of the staff members who was the supervisor it seemed, TV didnt work first night, no advice how to get a taxi ( figure it out) - just too much when you pay 400$ per night for one of the better apartments. Staff at front desk unhelpful except Javier who is amazing and again most were untrained and unaware English speakers could speak Spanish and understand their internal comm. I expected better given previous reviews but seems most guests were ok w the level of service or accepted the lack of towels and brought their own.. then things got better after our chat - on the good side, great bay views, great location, beach access, pool bed availability, nice breakfast, comfy bed and good a/c … fix the towel situation, teach front desk some helpfulness and courtesy and you’ll do SO much better.

My wife and I stayed at AxelBeach and it is a really nice comfortable, relaxed place to stay. The rooms are really spacious clean, tidy and well presented. Initially we became a bit nervous when we found out it was a hotel aimed primarily at the LGBT community and thought it might be a bit of a party hotel but it was not, it was completely chilled. The staff were great, there are lots of couples like us, groups of girl and guys and everyone was having a good time without disturbing anyone else. We would stay again as it really is such a nice blend of people, great hotel, best sun loungers, rooms and helpful staff.

Spacious, clean, full kitchen, nice balconies with a view of the bay. Good shower, comfortable pull-out bed as well as main bed. Great pool area with very nice loungers. Close to restaurants and small convenience stores/shops.

I arrived and the front desk they said they would upgrade me in a better room the one that I paid and I was aware to get from the picture that your guys are showing on your website. instead I got a room in a very bad condition bathroom door wasn't working so I had to do basic things with door open and it is raining and basically therse nothing I cant go since its a front beach property so I was expecting to enjoy the basic service that a hotel can deliver such getting clean towel and sheets since we are not leave the room. It was one worst experinces of my life and I would like to aware your site of this issue and get my money back.

Great stay, amazing staff and service. Will recommend. Ordered room service one day and the presentation was terrible. Some items wrapped in cling film on the plates. They took back one of the food covers and tray and the food was so spaced out on the plate that it moved around and looked messy. Other than that the hotel and staff were so nice that it made up for it (but i wouldn't order room service dinner again.

G4y friendly apart-hotel with private beach. Spacious rooms. Clean. Good breakfast. Direct bus L9 from Airport (4 eur). Noisy hall from early morning. Unheated water in pool. Only 1 hour for free for late checkout, but we spent some time in caffe near pool.

The big issue I have with this property is that they did not clean my room. I even asked the front desk several times and it never happened. I got new towels- that's it. After a weeks stay the floors were not swept, the bathroom not cleaned and not even a wipe down of the sink. I know because I ended up doing it myself and saw dirt on my cloth. The walls are very thin as well. You will hear everything your neighbor does from coughing, to talking on the phone, to flushing the toilet. You can hear everything through the very thin walls.

Great location, breakfast was awesome, rooms are spacious, functional and clean. Comfy beds and sofa bed. Kitchen well equipped. Only downside is the pool is quite small. I’d definitely stay here again and it’s Hetero friendly.

Checking in was fine, but the room was not what we expected based on the pictures and description on Expedia. It was considerably smaller than described. The hallways, lobby, and pool area were filthy. The pool area was dirty. The hotel did nothing to clean up after people smoking, eating and drinking around the pool chairs. One evening I had to call front desk and report that a group of guest were hanging out on the beach and doing drugs and throwing bottles of alcohol in the beach. The hotel did nothing about it. Kind of shocking. I would never stay at an Axel hotel again.

Nice Apartment in the ground floor. Good location and staff was friendly. This is the dirtiest Axel. Had to complain a few times and once even took the brum from the cleaning lady’s trolley and cleaned it myself. It’s a shame really cause the rest was all fine.

I had a great experience, for start i got an upgrade to my room and got an apartment which was way much bigger than the one i live! The staff is great and they kind of have like their own private beach (is not private, but the hotel is on it and you have access directly from it) that you acn use. The swimming pool area is perfect, right in front of rhe beach and from fridays till sundays, they have djs playing the whole day. I would definitely recommend.
