OK but everything we needed.
The room could have been cleaner to begin with the bathroom espically needed a little more scrubbing. Everything else was fine except it smelled alot like smoke in the halls which we did not like.

Entire hotel smelled of strong, old cigarettes and chemicals. Rooms felt grimy. Automatic deoderant sprays installed in the hallway every few doors. Directly outside our door was one that needed a refill and beeped obnoxiously every 30-60 seconds. I called the front desk and asked if it could be refilled or turned off, staff responded with disgust saying "uugh, maybe in an hour", it was still beeping 2 hours later, i called the front desk again and no one answered. I didn't go out to check it myself as there were a lot of people loudly coming and going in the hallway. Questionable transactions taking place in hallway and back parking lot.

Despite being clean, it felt run down. I really liked the staff person who checked me in. She was very personable and answered all my questions about the surrounding area, where I could buy a certain product, etc. Her friendliness was e definite bonus.

A night of regret
No one was at the desk when we arrived to the dim lobby. The pet policy differs from what is listed on the hotels website and had to sign a paper that says pets are not to be left unattended in rooms. Had to change our plans entirely because of this. We requested a first floor and was given 2nd floor. Later i wondered if this was due to long term guests living in the first floor. Was also glad to not be on first floor since you could hear people walkng around. Almost sounded like they would fall through the ceiling. The room was dirty and we had to pick up pieces of plastic all over the room likely from previous guests dog chewing up a toy. There was also two opened jolly ranchers found on the floor. The bathroom door didn't have a lock on it. The stairwell smelled like cigarettes and pot. Lowes parking lot is behind the hotel. Not much grass for dogs, but you can cross the parking lot to a bigger area to walk your dog. Was thankful we only had 1 night here on our way through Maine. This is definitely a budget motel that is not worth the price. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here.

Staff was nice, room was clean. I didn’t have the breakfast but there was a decent selection. The fridge was a little noisy but other than that, no issues.
