The hosts, Janis and Bill, were very friendly and full of knowledge about the surrounding areas. They gave us a menu every day for the next days breakfast and we could choose as much and whatever we wanted. Bill is an excellent cook! We had the whole downstairs to ourselves, two bedrooms and a bathroom, with a deck outside of one of the bedrooms, and deer in the forest, very near the ocean.

A little too cozy.................
The owners were lovely people who provided a great breakfast every morning. But the accomodations were disappointing. The rooms are very small and have not been updated for many years (a floral wallpaper border for example). And although the place was mostly clean if you looked more closely (baseboards and bedskirts) it was clear that they hadn't seen a thorough cleaning for awhile. There was also an odor about the whole place that wasn't pleasing (not offensive but not good). Because it was cold and rainy we couldn't use the deck so you felt kind of trapped inside the house with really nowhere to relax and have a glass of wine unless you were sitting on beds. We wo'n't be staying there again.

This is not a B&B
The owners were very nice, but it was an extremely awkward situation. This is a bedroom in the basement of a single family home. I felt like I was at my grandma's house. Bedding was clean but very old with a musky odor.

The first floor of a residence with two bedrooms, a bath and outside decking is offered, no 'basement'; very comfortable accommodations for up to four (4) adults. Once in a while we get hacked. This is one of them. We invite you to read our other reviews!

Fantastic Place to Stay
This place beats staying in a hotel. You are basically renting the whole downstairs portion of the house. 2 bedrooms, bathroom with a shower/tub, an outside sitting area under the pine trees, and an outside deck with a barbeque, table, and chairs. Cooked to order breakfast is included and is very good. The owners are very nice. The only downside is the main bedroom has a queen size bed that is comfortable except that it tends to bow down in the middle causing you to lay on a sideways slope. This did not interfere with our sleep though. We would stay here again.

Dreydon B&B
Dreydon B&B was very comfortable, especially because both bedroom spaces were available. There is only a single bathroom, so once one of the bedrooms books, Bill & Janis close the availability. The Breakfast was by request from a varied menu.

Great Cozy Stay with Great Homemade Breakfast!
Rooms we stayed in were very clean, nicely decorated, and beds were very comfortable, and there were lots of DVDs to watch from the past. Breakfast was served on nice décor table next to owner's living room, and Bill (owner) was master chef made the breakfast to include delicious homemade potatoes and baked extra sharp cheddar & seafood quiches. Tasty sausage was fine quality from local vendor. Breakfast is pre-ordered from night before and Bill cooked everything that was requested for and served warm with a friendly smile. Bill and Janis were very kind and made our stay most welcomed. Home is located in the hills with many trees and young dear running around in the morning. I highly recommend this place for a cozy stay with great tasting full homemade breakfast.

Nice, quiet location
The owners of this B & B took great care to make us (2 adults with 2 preteen grandchildren) welcome. The breakfast served was delicious. We would recommend Dreydon House.

I was disappointed with Dreydon House regarding cleanliness. I called the hosts a half hour before we arrived as we were arriving 2 hours sooner than expected, but still in the late afternoon. Perhaps the state of the rooms was due to arriving earlier, however I don't believe that to be the case. The bathroom sink was not clean, nor had the rooms been dusted in a while. The carpets also need cleaning. Aside from the above, I have to say the hosts were wonderful, kind and informative. The breakfast was fantastic and there was plenty to be had.

We are happy that this guest and her teenage nephews enjoyed Bill's home cooked breakfast. As Co-Innkeepers, we are responsible for cleaning and we clean thoroughly. The plush carpets are newly installed and we also have newly installed 'Gel' mattresses. This is the latest in bedding technology providing maximum support and comfort. Our guests speak very highly of the wonderful night's sleep that they experience.

Quiet Neighborhood close to Hearst Castle
A very welcoming arrival and helpful with any questions we had. Bill and Janis served a good breakfast and had great tips for our travels. They also helped us with getting tickets to Hearst Castle which worked out.

Dreydon House is a two story home with rooms offered on the first floor. The entire structure is above ground, we have no basement. We are located in beautiful Lodge Hill in a forest not far from the ocean and only a mile from Cambria's East and West Villages; close enough to town yet far enough to see deer and rabbits just outside! The queen and twin bedrooms are standard sized. Our guests use both rooms with seating. The back deck has a BBQ with table and comfortable chairs for four.

We stayed at the Dreydon Bed & Breakfast overnight on our way to Monterey Bay. It was my kids first time staying in a Bed & Breakfast and they loved it. Bill & Janis are a beautiful couple,very charming and hospitable. Bill showed us around when we first got there and made us feel comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and perfect for a family of four. He also made a wonderful breakfast in the morning. The kids loved the DVD's and played Disney Movies all night. It was a great experience and we will stop there again soon. Thank you!!

Hearst Castle visit
This was a great place for the 3 of us to stay for a visit to Hearst Castle. The rooms were comfortable and the hosts were accommodating. Bill's breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Two bedroom B&B with great breakfast
The B&B is the lower floor of a house in Cambria in a neighborhood close to the beach. The owners were very kind, helpful, and cooked a great breakfast. The space is 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, which were fine, but there is no general sitting area. There is a deck for the guests. The beds were on the soft side. Only one guest party can stay at a time since these are the only rooms to let. The best part is that the house is close enough to the shore that it remains cool throughout the summer. Downtown Cambria is about 3 miles away.

Guests enjoy the privacy of booking one group at a time. The East and West Villages of Cambria are about a mile away. Being near the ocean, yet near town, there is beautiful Lodge Hill of forest views with deer and bunnies roaming by your windows! The new mattresses feature new "Gel" technology, providing maximum support with comfort. Guests comment on their comfortable nights sleep. Enjoy comfortable cushioned chairs for seating and a private back deck with a BBQ and table with chairs

PERFECT Hearst Castle B&B
This B&B was the best I have ever stayed in. My husband and I were going to Hearst Castle with 2 friends and thought we'd try a B&B. We got the entire downstairs, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a patio with a BBQ and separate entrance into one of the bedrooms. The owners made amazing breakfast (try the quiche). They also gave us additional knowledge about the Hearst's and other cool things. If you need a place to stay while visiting the Castle, this place is perfect!!

Bill and Janis couldn't have been nicer. Very convenient to Hearst Castle. A little tricky to find, but in a beautiful area that smelled of pine (wonderful!). We arrived later than planned, but Bill provided great directions and a delicious and informative breakfast. Great place to stay!

We won't be back but some people might like it.
Uncomfortable with open access to host's living area on the upper level, just didn't feel private. Breakfast upstairs, open kitchen - dining area, hosts sat & talked while we ate, again, uncomfortable. Bed comfortable but sheets too short, crispy & very wrinkled. No bedside clock. Microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker along with WIFI were great. Bathroom could use a good cleaning. Counter top with dried soap & smudges, top of base boards, REALLY dusty and the toilet handle broke with the first flush. Had to leave to cover off and pull the chain by hand. Didn't like sticking my hand in the tank water to flush! Seeing as it was a Sunday evening, the host couldn't do a lot toward fixing it. The B&B's I have stayed in have been pretty much like a hotel, not like I was a guest in a stranger's home.

A charming B&B
Had a fabulous stay at Dreydon House. Excelent accomodation and charming hosts. Lovely location in the hils surrounded by trees. Your own private deck and very quiet rooms. The breakfast was amazing, the highlight of the stay, with a huge selection of goodies to choose from the menu (given to you the night before). We would heartily recommend the chef's special potatoes.

Great Place to Stay!
My mom and I stayed for one night. Bill greeted us as we arrived. He and Janis are so welcoming and accomodating. My mom gets cold easily and they were so kind to turn up the heat for her. The breakfast is awesome. Bill is a great cook and Janis is a great hostess. We had a relaxing, wonderful stay and enjoyed our time with them at breakfast. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!!!! Very quiet and private.

intimate bed and breakfast
located on the lower floor of a suburban home, Dreydon House is operated by a warm and pleasant couple who will go out of their way to make you comfortable. Finding the house is a bit of a challenge thru winding streets, but once there you are in a safe and secure mooring.

Tolles Bed and Breakfast
Sehr nette Gastgeber. Tolles Frühstück... man kann auswählen, was zubereitet werden soll! Alles vorhanden in den Zimmern... TV, WLAN, DVD, Bücher, Steckdosenadapter, Nachtlichter, extra Bettdecken, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, Zugang zu Terasse, etc. Liegt sehr ruhig.

Nos hospedamos en esta casa/hostal por una noche como parada intermedia de nuestro recorrido por el Big Sur. La casa pertenece a una pareja de jubilados que te acogen con mucho cariño. Duermes en la planta baja en una habitación muy cómoda en la que te sientes como en casa. El desayuno es mítico en este hogar, pues está riquísimo y abundante y además puedes charlar con la pareja sobre cosas de California. Además ellos están muy interesados en conocerte lo cual me resultó muy interesante. El mejor sitio en el que parar por esta zona. Cerca se puede visitar todo el Big Sur, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay...

Tres bon accueil et petit déjeuner préparé sur mesure ! Micro ondes, frigo, vaisselle et table sur terrasse extérieure : c'est un plus 2 chambres séparées : les enfants ont apprécié... On a juste trouvé le lit double un peu mou.

Het onderkomen is te gebruiken door max. 4 personen. Bij gebruik door 2 personen vrij duur echter het goedkoopste in de buurt. Eigenaar aardig en behulpzaam. Reinheid onderkomen iets minder.

Fantastische Bed and Breakfast, op unieke locatie
Deze Bed and Breakfast ligt tussen het centrum van Cambria (leuk plaatsje) en de prachtige kust in een zeer rustige villawijk waar de herten en eekhoorntjes rondlopen. Twee kamers, één met een queenbed en één met twee eenpersoonsbedden. Eigen ingang, toilet en douche met bad. Aansluitend een tuin met terras en barbecue. Ontbijt naar eigen keuze en op gewenste tijd: eieren, toast, worstjes, bacon, gebakken aardappelen, cornflakes, vruchten, melk, koffie, thee, pancakes, het kan niet op!!! Bill en Janis hebben alle informatie over de omgeving. Geweldige locatie tussen San Francisco en Los Angeles, of om gewoon naar toe te gaan
