nice motel

Posted 25-May-2016
Pros: The cost of the room. Very reasonable for Cambria, CA
Cons: In room hair drier
Location: Located at the east end of town.walking distance to shops and restaurants. Short drive to Moonstone Beach and 15 minute drive to Hearst Castle.
Old fashion motel, clean, but not much else. I liked being able to park right at my room door. The place was clean and quiet.

Nice, clean, and quiet motel in town.

Posted 09-May-2016
Pros: Cleanliness, quiet and pleasant staff.
Cons: New Bathrooms.
Location: Right in town. Makes it very easy to walk to all the shops and places to eat.
We had a nice experience. Accommodations were clean and quiet. Staff was professional and friendly. I received a phone call when we got home informing me I had left an article behind and they were so nice to ask if we would like it shipped back to us. Honest people. Very rare these days. I would recommend your motel.

Grotty and in need of an update

Posted 03-May-2016
Location good Insides grotty Cracks and marks on walls and floor Dirty sheets and office not open late to have them changed I've put as little effort into this review as was put into preparing our room - spend the extra dollars on somewhere nicer

Nice hotel, close to town and the beach

Posted 20-Mar-2016
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Room was nice and clean in good condition. Minor maintenance issues with plugs and not easy to dry your hair in the mirror because outlets and mirrors don't line up. Great location for walking around town. Walls are paper thin, so a little noisy when the place is full.

Simple, yet satisfying

Posted 23-Feb-2016
Pros: Friendly and helpful front desk staff, very clean and comfortable room, pleasant grounds, and good location.
Location: Cambria, California is home to good coffee houses and restaurants, numerous boutiques, and the Pacific with its morning fog. Hearst Castle close by.
My wife and I selected the Cambria Palms Motel as our first stop on a recent drive from SoCal to San Jose. The front desk personnel were helpful and friendly, suggesting an excellent local seafood restaurant and providing a pair of wine glasses in case we purchased any local favorites. Our room was spotlessly clean and included all the amenities we needed. Relaxing around the warming fire pit (and listening to the tree frog serenade) was a great way to end our first day on the road.

Ok for the price

No iron. No hair dryer. No pluggs. You hear the Other guests clearly. It was clean though. The family of the owner or management was always there outside. It was a little uncomfortable.

Cute hotel

Posted 25-Jan-2016
Pros: Love the location, the stream in the back, and the fire pit.
Cons: The shower could use a makeover.
Location: The beach is nearby. Lots of wineries. The town with lots of little shops is all within walking distance.
I love this place. It's always a pleasant stay. Room was ready. I lounged by the fire pit. Staff is always very pleasant.

Me and my wife have stayed at alot of different hotels .and this one was dirty and the lady at the desk was rude and very unwelcoming .the only good part of our stay was the fire pit out back and the people that we met and had conversation with .I would not stay ther again

Simple, convenient & clean

Second stay at this lovely, simple motel on the edge of Main Street. Usually an excellent value—"Best Deal In Town" is the truth—there was something going on that weekend that literally doubled the rates I'm used to paying. So for what we paid? Not such a swell deal (except, of course, that we got to stay in paradise despite a busy weekend, I guess). Things to note: temperature control is an issue when it's warm (it's been unseasonably warm) and the bathroom sink didn't drain properly, which is kind of icky, especially when sharing a room. But overall, a great place to stay, if you don't need anything fancy.
