San Nicolas Zuid Holidays from £1,071

This is my second time at barcelo and all in all it was a great trip. There are some things that do need to change because i can confirm a lot of the issues people have expressed on this page. Gonna start with the obvious positives and ill promise ill end it positive as well. Check in was super easy and the front desk lady was very pleasant. We ate at all four of restaurants seafood steak which was good, mexican which was outstanding, Italian was good and hibachi was very good. Breakfast was good and the lunch buffet was good as well. The dinner buffet was not great, less options and no flavor to a lot of the food. We enjoyed the pool and beach and how can you not you’re in aruba, but super dirty around the pool area and i wish they went back to the plastic cups, paper cups are too small and they were everywhere along with the straws. Band aids , cigarette butts etc both beach and pool. And why did they take away the beach tiki bar i came here years ago there was a circular beach tiki bar. The pool needs work as well cracks every where and my uncle stepped on a light cover that was detached from the pool and he placed it outside the rocks .Now i did know that the hotel is outdated but it was also outdated 12 years ago. Little things they could do is new garbage receptacles, soap dispensers , small furniture changes in the rooms, bathroom fixtures. I also had black mold above the bathroom sink. On my 6 day trip not once did i have new towels and had to call hospitality 3 time

It was amazing, very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The gym view is unreal. And it’s near by everything.

For being a brand new resort i would have expected more. However my first reaction to the property…i wasn't amazed let me start with that. The room wasnt ready so we needed to wait, room was clean, cool, spacious. Preferred club. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON PREFERRED. You dont get anything extra for it. The whole resort is open so people can go and swim where they want. The only thing you get is top shelf alcohol and a private bar. Besides those two i dont see how spending any extra few thousand on your vacation is worth it. Save the money and do excursions outside. Overall the property was okay, there wasnt much to do all you have is a giant pool and a bar. How much can you really drink without hurting yourself. Staff was friendly on most occasions, pool was clean, food was decent. They try there best to switch it up. I recommend staying here for a few days then moving to another resort on the other-side of town. Thats the only way you’ll get the best out of your vacation.
