Stayed for 8 nights at Santa Barbara in Nov 2015.
Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely come back again.
We were a little apprehensive because of the reviews we had read about the smell from the water treatment centre next door. Our first room was lovely but it was directly opposite the treatment centre. Luckily the staff at the front desk were really helpful when we arrived and managed to find another room available we could be moved to because we were not happy with the first room.
The staff in the restaurant, ocean bar and reception were all really friendly and took a shine to my little son. The main pool facilities are excellent although we did find the baby pool sometimes was too cold. I think the motor was not working.
It was a shame there was no free Internet in the hotel. We had to pay 5.95 for wi-fi each day but often found we kept losing connection.
Our room and kitchen was one of the older rooms so had nt been refurbished but we found this more than adequate for our needs with a baby.
The surrounding area is very quiet and there is not much besides a couple of restaurants but this is perfect if you want a peaceful location.
A lovely place to stay. The work around the pool area has made it a really pleasant place to sit.
All aspects work together to make it the ideal place for a holiday
Thanks. Hope that we can go again next November
A very good standard of accommodation, with friendly staff who aim to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Other guests were very sociable and the whole complex is very well managed and secure. Good onsite facilities are available. Cafe Med, adjacent to reception, was excellent, the Caesar Salad and Hungarian Stew is highly recommended. All in all, excellent value for the standard of accommodation and services provided.
OK the positives. 13 mins by taxi to the airport.
Central position near tourist office. Bar next door and across the road.
Own restaurant which was rather good.
Staff friendly and helpful, owner even more so-set chairs for us outside whilst waiting for taxi
Now the Marmite: We were shown the room which allegedly wasn't ours- the guy in ours hadn't checked out.
Little window with hessian roller blind softened by lavender bags. Bed comfortable enough, we had a good sleep.
Kettle, electric plug in radiator, towel rack, hanging rail, desk and chair.
Run of cupboards painted blue, topped by a worktop, complete with stainless steel sink which doubled as a washbasin.
Excellent shower with multi heads.

BUT... and I think this is the artist in me. there were these little nuances. It was almost as if you were in someones house, the shelves had little nick nacks, out in the corridor of this enclave with marble floors- there were straw hats arranged artistically on bits of furniture, magazine racks, flowers. To the left of our room was a little patio sitting area with chairs and table for sun relaxing. Down a few steps to a little grotto with a pond and koi carp. Then steps to the al fresco area of the restaurant.
We had a really nice meal, appetiser starter main course, and the most gorgeous puddings (selected by our excellent waitress), lager for him, nice wine for me (x2) 53euros. Value!

The most friendly reception staff!!! Very friendly and very helpful. This made our stay very pleasant, except the problems we had with expedia regarding the booking. The hotel is located near the ocean, but it is impossible to have a swim there because of dangerous lava stones. But the hotel has a nice swimming pool. Also there are free shuttle bus services from the hotel to Los Cristinanos and Las Amerikas. Also there is a bus stop close to the hotel for the public transport where the buses run to the nearby resorts.

Had a mid November stay here just to get some winter sun. Staff are first class, hotel is clean and tidy. A 4 star hotel but the facilities are minimal for this rating. Spa is a bit disappointing and over priced. Rooms are clean and comfortable. On balance would defiantly recommend 👍
Lovely quiet resort, built round golf course, suitable for young families, and older too. Restaurants within walking distance, but need a car if you want to see the sights. Staff are lovely especially Oscar who does the animation. We would return again, very relaxing.
