- Disliked: Room comfort
Stayed because of the "10" reviews - but
Went for overnight stay; assured it would be quiet. Winery has gorgeous view, the room was gorgeous too, and it is indeed quiet, but UNLESS you want to be woken at 6:50 a.m. by Rosie setting up continental breakfast below in kitchen, don't stay overnight. (Rosie is very friendly, but we really needed a sleep-in. The noise was INSANELY LOUD - REALLY?) One bathroom light would not go on. The shower is extremely dangerously slippery, even with plastic adhesive mat. The TV is hard to figure out unless you are a tech- knowledgeable person - we aren't. We would've loved to actually sit by the fireplace in tasting room, but a huge cat was allowed there and we're allergic to cats. Winery should have stools people while tasting. We appreciate all who want to have a successful business, but in our opinion, Martin's staff wine pourer, though friendly, should make herself look more presentable and not as if she had just tumbled out of a homeless tent. The only wine was syrah & zin and mixtures and were not very good at all. If you love those wines & don't know much about wines, you'll like Croad. We were so irritated and tired from being awoken so bloody early that we just wanted to leave and not have anything except coffee for breakfast. Martin very nice, but he really needs to do something about the inconsideration of guests being deprived rest and not being able to sleep in for the price he charges with all the morning noise.
