"The most important thing to note is the limited hours of the front desk (10am to 6pm in the summer). This is an issue if you might arrive late or want to leave your bags in the morning after checking out. The hotel is absolutely serious about wanting you to contact them before you arrive to confirm your arrival time although the email they sent to me had no return email address. Stockalperhof

10/10 Excellent

"WE loved this hotel, it was different. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, maybe the breakfast buffet was only so-so, but, dinner was wonderful. After staying at a hotel in Basel, we came to appreciate that what the Stockalperhoff offered, was small, personable and very enjoyable. Not fancy, but very clean. We give it 5 stars."

"Wonderful hotel at a very affordable price. The staff is so nice they even did our laundry for only 10 CHF. The room was so spacious with 2 bunk beds and 2 beds in separate rooms. All this plus Beautiful views of the town and mountains. Also very central 10 minutes from town center and train station. Excellent ! Do highly recommend ! "
