Worst experience, mom and son didn't feel safe!

Posted 06-Aug-2016
I checked into the hotel in the afternoon, went to a friends house and by the time I went back to the hotel, somebody else was in my room! Luckily, I didn't store any luggage there yet. Front desk said they had new computer program that they don't know properly yet. Got another room. I was shocked how it looked. Nothing like pictures. Reminded me of Hitchcocks 'Psycho'. Terrible bathroom, old and outdated furniture, stained carpet. The room smelled as if the 'old' was tainted by a ton of some sweet air freshener.Only thing new was the tv but had bad picture. Worst is the AC . An old unit right next to the bed, so how on earth can someone sleep while this loud monster of a Mashine blows cold air directly on you?! The door didn't have a chain to lock, there was half an inch of gap when closing the door with its crappy lock. The walls are paper thin, you hear everything from next door. Unfortunately we had the worst people next to us, incredibly rude . First night they gambled and we're always banging against the wall. Next morning I decided to change my reservation from 3 to 2 nights. Next night started out quiet, until our 'neighbors' came back to their room at 3:30 and started talking loudly, then turned on TV as if they were deaf. Kept it running all night. No more sleep for my son and me. In the morning when checking out I complained about the people and the front desk girl ( seems lend they have a lot of young unprofessional staff there) didnt seem to care.

Well kept spacious grounds - great for families.

Posted 01-Aug-2016
Pros: I like the grounds quite a lot and breakfast.
Cons: The rooms are a little musty smelling.
Location: We enjoyed looking in all of the shops in downtown Los Gatos.
Breakfast is really good with enough seating inside and outside to relax while eating it! Older but quirky hotel. My only complaint is that because pets are allowed, the rooms could smell a little doggie. You get a lot for your money.

Could be gem

This property could be great. The rooms need to be updated but the staff goes the extra mile and makes up for the quality Davis family

Good price for Los Gatos. Breakfast included.

No issues. Only they forgot to install the shower curtain first night so bath floor became wet. They realized when replacing towels. No big deal for me for business trip.

Los Gatos Lodge

Posted 23-Jun-2016
Pros: We liked the inner courtyard landscaping and the patio access. The breakfast was very good. The evening music was a treat.
Cons: The beds are very hard. The carpet is very rough and flat.
Location: I few minutes away was the center of town. We visited Los Gatos to attend the Artists Plein Aire Event and it was perfect. The shops and restaurants
Pleased with the location being close to town. We visited Los Gatos to attend the Artist Plein Aire Event. It felt out of the way, yet a minute away by car. We arrived earlier than check in and were assigned a room. When we entered, it was obvious that the room had not been readied. We dropped off our luggage and left. It was ready when we arrived many hours later. The sheets were very wrinkled and the edges were not tightened down on the edges. I worried that the sheets had not been changed. No way of knowing. The live music venue was very enjoyable. We met some nice people. The entire grounds are lovely. The lodge itself is not attractive.
