The place is a dump. Avoid it.

Posted 23-Sep-2016
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: It should be brought up to date.
We were moving from out of state and booked the hotel for 7 nights. We had to move out right after the first night, although feared we will get sick. Dirty and outdated, construction workers were partying under the balcony on the grass.. The place has not been updated since 60s. Avoid it at all cost. We lost the money since we booked a week in advance, but we didnt want to risk our health staying there.

Quaint little lodge!

Posted 18-Sep-2016
We loved this lodge and will definitely be back! We got a complimentary upgrade to a suite, and it was awesome! Really big cute room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we asked for more towels and got them within minutes. There is also a free full hot breakfast, but we missed it.

son's wedding

Posted 08-Sep-2016
Pros: location
Cons: could be cleaned up
Location: 20 mins to the San Jose airport, 30-40 mins to Santa Cruz
hotel was not very well maintained. hotel double-booked our son's meet and greet the night before the wedding. we had to stand outside and service at the bar was incredibly slow. scenery was pretty but hotel is old. don't expect anything other than somewhere to sleep.

Stay is nice, but happy hour overrated

Posted 05-Sep-2016
Pros: Clean rooms, comfortable
Cons: Increase staff in the bar/lounge please!
Location: Very nice location.
Its clear that this staff does everything it can to work hard and please its guests. But for some reason, they are understaffed in places they are trying to promote. We went to the "happy hour live music" and found it lacking. The bar tender was moving so fast she hadn't hardly time to breathe. She was tending bar and also trying to wait tables, plus bus them. There must have only been one person making the food because that too was slow. Several people around me told me to not order the food because it didn't taste good. So we didn't. The music was acceptable even though it was basically from at latest the 50's. So I say this. Invest more into your employees, provide a few more people to help with the service. It will be easier on your staff and easier to your guests.

Worst experience, mom and son didn't feel safe!

Posted 06-Aug-2016
I checked into the hotel in the afternoon, went to a friends house and by the time I went back to the hotel, somebody else was in my room! Luckily, I didn't store any luggage there yet. Front desk said they had new computer program that they don't know properly yet. Got another room. I was shocked how it looked. Nothing like pictures. Reminded me of Hitchcocks 'Psycho'. Terrible bathroom, old and outdated furniture, stained carpet. The room smelled as if the 'old' was tainted by a ton of some sweet air freshener.Only thing new was the tv but had bad picture. Worst is the AC . An old unit right next to the bed, so how on earth can someone sleep while this loud monster of a Mashine blows cold air directly on you?! The door didn't have a chain to lock, there was half an inch of gap when closing the door with its crappy lock. The walls are paper thin, you hear everything from next door. Unfortunately we had the worst people next to us, incredibly rude . First night they gambled and we're always banging against the wall. Next morning I decided to change my reservation from 3 to 2 nights. Next night started out quiet, until our 'neighbors' came back to their room at 3:30 and started talking loudly, then turned on TV as if they were deaf. Kept it running all night. No more sleep for my son and me. In the morning when checking out I complained about the people and the front desk girl ( seems lend they have a lot of young unprofessional staff there) didnt seem to care.

Well kept spacious grounds - great for families.

Posted 01-Aug-2016
Pros: I like the grounds quite a lot and breakfast.
Cons: The rooms are a little musty smelling.
Location: We enjoyed looking in all of the shops in downtown Los Gatos.
Breakfast is really good with enough seating inside and outside to relax while eating it! Older but quirky hotel. My only complaint is that because pets are allowed, the rooms could smell a little doggie. You get a lot for your money.
