nice motel. Not fancy. Convenience

Posted 02-May-2016
Pros: location and free breakfast
Cons: extra blanket . smell of perfume in room but room was clean
Location: location close to my venue. A little tough to navigate without landing up on highways and taking lots of circuitous routes. looked like lots to do,
No complaints except noisy at night and smelled of perfume (a little allergic reaction). could use an extra blanket

Posted 25-Apr-2016
Pros: Definately the staff. Food at an event held there awesome.
Cons: location of toilet
Staff was fantastic. They are definately a 5 star staff. Room was a 3. toilet to close to wall. otherwise was clean and cozy enough for my stay.

Convenient location

Posted 25-Apr-2016
Pros: The overall quite and tranquility of the place
Location: It is very convenient and only minutes away from everything.
This is an older hotel but very well maintained. Everything was very clean, the beds were good and the rooms were very quite. The only problem I had with the place and I don't believe it is the hotels fault completely, the showers are awful. very small, took forever to get hot water and then once I got it it kept going from ice cold to scalding hot. Not a fun experience. Other then that a very pleasant experience. I would go there again.

Aardig hotel, goede locatie

Posted 21-Apr-2016

Location nice, & pleasant grounds. Good breakfast.

Requested a handicap room & was given a 2nd floor room without an elevator for my 87 year old mother. Fortunately, we booked a second room the which I had occupied the day earlier & was able to switch rooms as this was at least on the 1st floor. Also there was a mix up on keys. It took 3 Attempts to get the proper key to the 2nd floor room & we disturbed guests by opening occupied rooms. Prior to check in, we were upgraded to a suite rather than std room which was nice but, not handicap. The toilet in one room was leaking with visible water on the floor upon check in. This was fixed the next day. Mold was also present on the glass shower door! We were not pleased with the initial room experience but, made due. We were in town for a funeral so, this experience added to the stress of our stay.

Old and rather tired looking

Posted 08-Apr-2016
All hotels booked, so I had almost no choice but this one. Clean, but definitely looks like something out of the 70's. Room itself was ok and clean. No problem there, but the bathroom was so very tiny and really old. Smaller than most closets in my estimation. No room for my toiletries-and I'm a man!!!! I pity a poor lady with all she'd like to have... Water took 10 minutes to come through warm (Never hot). Given the location (Silicon Valley) price was not high, but compared to any other 2.5 star place in different city, then Phew! It was a big bunch of cash!!! I will certainly give though, that it was perfectly clean and easily accessible.

Expedia "bargain????"

Posted 02-Apr-2016
I have used expedia and other internet booking sites. During 2 recent visits to Los Gatos Lodge, I have received sub standard rooms. These lousy rooms are in the same building and appear to be reserved for the Expedia and other internet bookings. NEVER AGAIN.

Classic California

Posted 29-Mar-2016
If you are looking for a classic CA hotel, this is it. I halfway expected to see Haley Mills as the Parent Trap twins lounging by the pool. The breakfast room reminded me of a mid-century CA home. Great place to stay on our last night in CA.
