Nice hotel

It is a basic hotel, reasonably priced , nothing fancy but the staff deserves credit as they make an effort to make sure you have a comfortable stay. Good buffet breakfast.

Construction Noise Made Stay Less Than Pleasing

Posted 29-May-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms could be in better condition, notification of construction
The hotel is attempting to upscale and add facilities like a rooftop deck. There was no notification of construction and it was constant and extremely loud, even on the 6th floor. When we checked in we had no towels and a window latch was broken. Both of these were fixed quickly. The room was rather beat up and could have been in better condition. Staff was very friendly and while the breakfast wasn't so enjoyable, dinner one night was excellent. The location is extremely convenient to downtown San Jose.

Great Hotel In The Center Of The City

Posted 26-May-2016
I loved this hotel. We went to Costa Rica to find adventure, so we we drove all over the country. Hotel Presidente was where we went as a checkpoint to another destination. Every time we came to San Jose we were so excited to get back to Hotel Presidente. The room was amazing, the air conditioning was perfect, the beds were to die for! Once you jumped it bed you never wanted to get out. Also a good thing to mention the shower water pressure is great!!

Schönes Hotel mitten in der City.

Posted 12-May-2016

STAY AWAY !!!

Posted 04-May-2016
Pros: NOTHING
Room smelled like cigarette smoke and there was hairs in the sink. Requested for a room changed, but staff said there was no room. AC made so much noise, couldn't sleep at night.

Good location friendly staff

Posted 03-May-2016
Pros: The hotel is located in a very central area within walking distance of many of the main city attractions.
Cons: Unlike other hotels and venues, this hotel would not process credit card payments in US dollars and their rate did not benefit us.
Location: It is walking distance to the Central Market, museum, art gallery and many other main city attractions.
We recently stayed at this hotel for three nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was included in the price which was reasonable. We arrived early and were able to check in even though it was about two hours before the check in time. No one but guests was allowed into the hotel compound as there was a staff member at the entrance monitoring who entered. That added a feeling of security because when we went out there was usually someone at the entrance when we returned. overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would return again provided the rates remain reasonable.

Lo mejor

Posted 01-May-2016
Ampliamente recomendado.

Location in heart of San Jose

Posted 23-Apr-2016
Pros: Breakfast buffet was good, lots of fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, rice and beans,bacon..just to name a few. Saves time wondering where to eat in morning
Cons: They are currently doing renovations.
Location: Museums nearby, also shopping, markets, restaurants. Cabs are cheap if you do not walk much.
Weather was good, enjoyed walking to museums, restaurants. Interesting hotel design, not the norm but very pleasing and comfortable with a little rustic appeal. Room was spacious and cleaned very well. Hotel does exchange some money. (US and EU). A lot of places/restaurants/cab take USA dollars but make sure you have small denominations, $5 and $1, nothing over $20. I used credit card mostly for shopping and restaurants. Was solo for a couple of days and did not feel unsafe. Like all tourists spots around the world beware of pick pockets. Keep wallet/ passport secure. Enjoyable time, people friendly.
