Beds horrible

The bed was so uncomfortable, no blanket just thick like sheets. So cold. Bathroom and room was cute. You have to pay additional for parking like $60 a day. Ridiculous. No free parking.

Great Staff and Central Location

Pros: The staff and location.
Location: Very close to many restaurants, shopping, and public transportation.
The entire staff at the hotel were amazing, everyone from the front desk to the cleaning service were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is very centrally located and we loved the hustle and bustle of the area. Some may say the street noise it too much, but we didn't mind at all, that's what you get when you choose to stay in the city.

Awesome Location!

The hotel staff were super friendly! And this hotel is right next to Union Square. Walking distance from all kinds of things...and it’s sitting on top of a 24 hour Starbucks! How can you go wrong!? Some moldings in the rooms are pretty beat up and definitely add some age to the rooms, and they have blackout curtains hanging right next to the window that don’t have a rail to slide on so that you can actually use them. But other than those two things, we had an awesome stay! Would stay again for sure!

Great location

Getting to the hotel is a pain, the street it’s on has limited access. The valet service was a little slow a third party that is off site... staff was friendly room was a little small ... tv was big but had a weird lag with the response to the remote hard to change channel or adjust volume... ... it is near a lot of fun things and the staff was very accommodating. Had a small issue with room someone from the staff was there in 45 seconds after the call . Impressive... Room was small but very clean... bathroom was small but great water pressure in shower... overall was a good stay... rooms could be better sound proofed...

Sounds like a great stay overall and thank you for taking the time to share. There is a little trade off with being so central to the activity in downtown San Francisco in that getting to Union Square can require additional focus and patience: but the pay-off is well worth it. I disliked every thing about this hotel! DONT GO THERE IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO HAVE A GOOD TIME, THEY ARE RUDE AND ARGUMENTATIVE

Good Union Square location

Would stay again. Good location just off Union Sqaure. We did not have a city view but room was exceptionally quiet for location. And we didn’t spend much time in it. Comfortable too. Nice amenities. Staff great. Elevators a minor problem but they posted sign that they were improving them. Old hotel so has some of the usual minor inconveniences associated with old buildings. But liked it a lot. Have stayed in lots of high end and boutique hotels in SF. Will definitely choose this one again.

Valet not ideal

Pros: Great location to walk around, very nice lobby, pristine rooms
Cons: elevators seemed outdated and extremely small : (
Location: Right smack dab in Union Square! only a block away! great shopping, food, and the museum of ice cream is walking distance as well!
I have to say the very beginning of my stay was NOT good. However, it turned around rather quickly once I was able to go to my room. The location is ideal once you get through valet.... They only have a very small area to pull over in front of the hotel. So if you already have two cars in front... You are SCREWED. You can't leave your car in the street ...thank goodness I had a friend that could stay in the car while I ran in and spoke to someone. While the front attendant helped someone with their luggage it was like no one else could help. It was unbelievably frustrating as we just wanted to get started on our trip to SF! I ran to the front desk to have Kelvin (my favorite person there) help me thoroughly. Another lady there said she would call the valet for me.. but after waiting another 20 minutes I ran back in where Kelvin called right away and told them to get here asap. GREAT customer service. I waited then another 5 minutes for the valet to arrive and would be able to pull over into a parking slot. After waiting almost 40 minutes total we ran into our room which was pristine. From there we had no problems at all and always were welcomed with a warm smile by Kelvin! : ) Be prepared to wait a while once you get there... but once you get inside you will be good!
