Great location, right near Union Square

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Pros: Comfortable rooms and the staff are helpful and knowledgable. Powerful AC and simple things like shampoo/conditioner/bodywash dispenser were great.
Cons: Electronic safe should be lower, creaky/bulging floor boards under the carpet and 3 sets of power outlets in one corner of the room.
Location: Great location right by Union Square, plenty of food and shopping options nearby plus efficient public transport.
The Bay Area in San Francisco is very accessible from this hotel as public transport works great. It's a breeze to get around but timing is important or go with Uber/Lyft. The shops nearby made this a fantastic week-long stay -- Walgreens for supplies, Sears for great breakfasts, Colibri for great Mexican ... Grab a Nutella crepe from Burger House downstairs!

Nice but very noisy

Posted 17-Sep-2016
The room was fine-- there's is no desk or table to work on but the bed was comfortable and the amenities were very nice Ask for a room that does not face Poweel Street. My room was on 4 and was extremely noisy-- street performers, and the cable cars runs right below your window which starts at 6am and runs until midnight The staff should supply ear plugs which they did when I complained The restaurant, Kuletos , is very very good -- you should definitely eat there

This hotel was in a good location but it was nothing special, and the room was just OK. I wouldn't recommend it unless the price point is really in someone's acceptable range.

Old and. Expensive but excellent location

Posted 15-Sep-2016
Location is very convenient. We were able to catch bus train, cable car, train easily. But very expensive and old.gym is old, dirty with poorly working equipment. Should have at least offerd a complimentary full breakfast. Over all it is not good for the money.

Central location

Posted 15-Sep-2016
The hotel was a little outdated, could use to get a makeover. But it was centrally located to everything. Was a little noisy with all the traffic.

Old hotel and greet location

Posted 12-Sep-2016
The staff were very helpful. I had a room in 2nd floor overlooking to the street and it was very noisy and the staff were happy to change it and apologies for it. It's a good hotel but seems old and the hallways were smelly. Honestly i pick this hotel because it was VIP+, but unfortunately there was nothing given to me from the VIP+ features at all and i don't blame the hotel for that I totally blame Expedia for it.

Nice on picture, not so much in reality

Posted 08-Sep-2016
Pros: Location.
Cons: See review!
Location: Right in the middle of Union Square, close to the tram terminus and shopping centers.
If it was not for the horrible smell on the 7th floor, the clogged bathtub, the shaky WiFi, and the dust in the room, Villa Florence would have been a nice little hotel. Great location, great restaurant, and overall descent looking hotel despite the age of the building. The lobby was nicely renovated, but the rooms looked covered up more than anything. The size of the room was comfortable, but the bathroom was fairly small.
