Great little SF hotel

Posted 16-Apr-2018
This is a great hotel in downtown SF. Rooms and bathroom are small but it is SF after all so not unexpected. Overall a great hotel for the money. As of April 2018 there isnt any real exterior signage for the hotel so pay close attention to the address or landmarks (it’s three doors down from the Starbucks for example.) I nearly missed the front door and I have stayed here in the past.

Hotel that holds incidence guantantee $100 long

Posted 15-Apr-2018
Overall, I had ok experience while I stayed at Villa Florence. But until I saw the hotel still holds that initial deposit $100 after I checked out, I feel this hotel has the intention to hold the additional money in their pocket for unreasonably longer time than other hotels would do. I called front desk and the staff was friendly helping me find out this additional incidence guanrantee won’t go away for another three to four days until 4/18/18 even I checked out hotel on 4/13/18 given that I should be only charged by $38 resort fee. I really feel being taken advantage by this cus they had my debit card and I gave them access. They have that discretion to hold that $100 off my account even I didn’t have any consumption during my stay. I hope Villa Florence will stop holding incidence deposit for future guests after they check out the hotel without additional consumption. I don’t think it’s right for them to do it while no other hotels would hold initial deposit for 4-5 days after guests check out.

Bait and switch with no ability to cancel

Posted 11-Apr-2018
Bait and switch, hotel was not up to par and to call the room a suite is an extreme stretch. Location is fantastic and is the only thing going for this place. Try to avoid this place if you can.

Cozy little place but lacks in service

Posted 11-Apr-2018
Rooms are nice, clean and beautiful, but tiny. Staff are friendly but no one answers calls to front desk. You have to walk down there to get in touch with them. May be because under-staffed. The bar and restaurant are in the lobby, which is odd. Food was great. There's a massive valet fee plus tax, in addition to the resort/admin fees and any tips you may give the valet. Overall, too expensive for what this place offers. Minibar in room is stocked well but expensive (as expected).

Not a 4 star

Posted 09-Apr-2018
Not a 4 star hotel. Old furniture, no dinning facilities, ELEVATORS is super small and slow. Good 3 star hotel, not a 4 star.

Sloppy staff; dusty room; bathtub plug missing; smelly. Good location. Not worth it.

Great location

Posted 05-Apr-2018
Room is a bit small but only needed it for one night. They were nice enough to let me check in early which was greatly appreciated after a long flight. Great location. Friendly staff.
