Need renovation and better management

Two out of five hotel staffs were not polite. The carpets in the hallway need to be replaced long time ago. No clothes hanger in the room. The bed sheet was not very clean and several hairs were found. TV remove was out of battery.

Classic American hotel near the Bart stop.

Very great hotel. All of the staff is great. I felt like I was in a "Great Gatsby" hotel or Ocean Eleven hotel. Also, it is the last hotel for the late sleeper because the Check out time is 12 (noon).

Hotel and rooms have a lot of historical characteristics which are interesting. Facility is fairly will maintained. BART access and transit access just outside the main door.

Convienient location, clean and reasonably for SF

Decent rooms, staff and comfy bed. Elevators are slow, and wait to get your car a little long, but overall was a very good exp.

A bit shabby. Needs updating. Slow wifi.

Good downtown location but still quite expensive. It's dark and a bit shabby with small double beds. Staff were efficient but like many in San Fran's service industries they are bordering on the brusk/ rude side of efficiency.

Not very pleasant stay

Staff are NOT friendly or helpful. There was an assault on a homeless guy on the street outside our window.

Great historic hotel located in SF civic center

Interesting, historic hotel in SF's civic center, within walking distance of many sights and public transportation. We have at stayed here many times as it is close to the opera and other arts venues.

Pros: location
Cons: nothing
Location: Civic Center including Bill Braham Auditorium
Location was great for Tenderloin experience, especially concerts.

This Hotel has the potential to be very beautiful. But it was such a horrible experience. never again!!!!! No water. Extremely outdated. Super Loud AC. Extra charges all over.
