Great Hotel for the price awesome location!!! Not a tourist trap. Very very very friendly Hotel Staff who really make the difference!!!

The pictures on Expedia are very misleading. I booked because the room looked spacious and modern, but in reality room was small, tired and looked like a budget hotel. There was a chain instead of a curtain, paint was all chipped and walls were dirty. Bathroom was tiny and lots of noise from street heard through window all night. Very disappointing.

Better hotels to stay at

As soon as we got checked in we were given the number to an incorrect room. We tried to use the key and we had another couple open the door to the room. Luckily for us they were a very sweet couple. We had to lug our bags back down from the top floor back down to the lobby and it took them too long to figure out why we were given the wrong room number. Once we were given the correct room number we were told the room faced the street and it was very noisy, they were correct. Worst sleep I’ve ever had on any vacation. They did try to make things better by bringing us a bottle of champagne but that unfortunately did not make up for the noisy room sandwiched between the noisy street and the elevators. The room was dirty. Never been to a hotel with molded showers and there was pee under the seats. The fridge also didn’t work which was another annoyance for us. When we would ask for coffee or Kleenex they would bring the bare minimum or the wrong things. It was beyond annoying to ask for coffee every day when they could have just brought us the amount we originally ask for the first morning. Last visit to San Francisco I stayed at the hotel Alise, which is a couple more blocks down Geary and it was really a great experience. It was a shame to be so disappointed by a hotel that had great reviews and in the same area. The experiences were night and day.

Great location ever better service

I was late to check in about 6 pm to be exact. I asked for a non noisy room and I was offered a two story room. When we got to our hotel much later around 1 am we called the service to get a remote since our room was missing up and within a few mins they came up to gave us a remote. Sadly the tv was acting up and the remote did not work but the service was amazing! I also loved how there was a Starbucks next door and just overall the hotel was in a great location. I definitely want to stay there again especially the two story room.

The Hotel rating stated four stars but it didnt feel entirely like a four star. The restroom was small. But they offered complimentary champagne and the location was walking distance from a lot of restaurants n bars.

Good value for the money

A nice place to stay, but hot water supply was spotty. It would be nice to paint the corridors something other than black. Color is badly needed. Great location close to restaurants and public transit.

Super nice staff, crappy hotel

The people are SO nice, it made it hard to review hubs hotel bc I truly don’t want any of them to be in trouble. The physical hotel itself is pretty gross... whoever took their pictures needs an award, honestly. The rooms are tiny, people smoked the whole weekend in the hotel rooms and it smelled horrible, and everything was low quality for the price. It has a comfortable bed and downtown location, and if that’s all you’re looking for, you can look past the deteriorates state of the hallways and poor bath fitter bathrooms. The cleaning staff and customer service was 10/10 , these people don’t get enough credit!
