I booked my room with 6 months of anticipation. A few weeks before, I tried calling the hotel to re-confirm but the numbers on the internet did not work. I messaged a Travelocity agent to confirm and they did so I didn’t worry. When I arribed to the hotel, which is in the ugliest area of San Francisco (honestly, I was scared, and I live in a big city), the manager told me that they did not have the room with a private bathroom that I had booked and payed for (with six months of anticipation) because there had been an issue and they received all of the bookings the morning before and the hotel was double/triple booked. They offered a room with a shared bathroom, but that was not what I had payed for. They told me that if I chose not to stay there they would fully refund my reservation. I asked them five different times for it to be clear. Yes, a full refund, they assured me. They told me to speak to travelocity for it to be official but that they were on it. So I went somewhere else, as I did not want to share a bathroom. After speaking with travelocity the agent told me that the hotel manager had denied my refund. I called the hotel and they said that the room had a shower, which they never mentioned, and so they won’t refund me. Worst experience ever. They ruined San Francisco for me, and now I have to spend the rest of my vacations fighting about this. Trabelocity should have a better idea of what they are selling.
