It was perfect for our needs, in a lovely neighborhood close to I-5, within 20 minutes of the places we wanted to go (Sea World, Zoo, USS Midway, Coronado Island), plenty of space for our family, with a great outdoor area. Our sons loved playing ping pong in the evenings on the back porch and we enjoyed the view of the beautiful sunsets over the beach. We're from AZ and were visiting in Feb, so we even lit up the fire pit in the evenings to keep the chill away. Inside the home, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom did the trick. One bath for a family of four can be tricky to navigate, but we knew that going in and it worked just fine! The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and there was plenty of room for us to dine at the table and lounge in the living room. We even had enough room on the floor next to the dining room for some lively games of Twister (game provided in the rental)!
