We are a family of 10, from the ages of 8-88\. The location is ideal for coming and going to all the activities, hikes, beaches, balboa park, zoo, restaurants and an easy trip to the airport. While here at the home base there was always fun to be had with the pool, hot tub, outdoor fire place, ping pong and more. Check in was simple and easy. Everything was wiped down and appeared clean but the floors were dirty. I reached out to the owners about a problem with bugs. They were in the kitchen cabinets, dishwasher, and on the counter. I understand some bugs are typical but there were a lot. I bought food to cook throughout our stay but ended up not using most of it because I didn’t feel comfortable cooking in the kitchen . The owners couldn’t get pest control out over the holiday weekend so their solution was to use the bug spray under the sink. I asked where I could find more paper towels and I was told under the sink. When I mentioned they weren’t there, nothing else was said so I went to the store to buy more (the vrbo information said these were included). We were also out of toilet paper. The pool began to flood and the breaker blew when two guests were using a blow dryer. These are all minor problems but when tied in with the bugs and sending several messages throughout the stay, it was a little frustrating. We all loved the pool and backyard space. This helped the overall stay by far! We comfortably fit our 13 guests. ##### Brendan B. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and mall within minutes of house if you forget something. Family loved it so much they didn’t want to leave to go sightseeing so they can relax and get in pool. It’s even better than the pictures and had everything we needed and more. It’s in a great location yet you don’t even need to leave the house if you don’t want to. Beaches and great restaurants are a quick drive and the house is equipped with tons of games, a BBQ outside and the perfect pool so you can really enjoy the home.
