Property location is excellent. Right in the heart of the historic center. Lots of great restaurants close to property. Reception was helpful and friendly. We booked a room with one double bed and were given a free upgrade to a room with two double beds. Room was small but appreciated the fridge, closet, shelf above bed. Only had one chair to sit on and needed two as two persons in room. No table or room for one. Bathroom was clean but as mentioned in other reviews water from shower sprayed everywhere soaking the floor mat and floor. Towels etc changed every second day so had to go search for dry/clean towels/floor mats. Breakfast was basic but plentiful enough. Breakfast room was small and felt crowded.

Very nice hotel in quiet (relatively) San Croce. Very walkable to everything. Clean rooms w views. Great breakfast and service. Only issue was check in - deceptive advertising of kids free but staff disputed vehemently. Although this is likely a US vs italy custom- this should be made clearer (Eg strict registration policy for kids despite free stay w existing bedding noted on web site and other internet sources ) to avoid the significant stress we experienced at check in - in addition to lecture from staff. We did not feel welcomed initially - but - to the credit of the management- they did find a way to accommodate- and this is the bottom line and reason for 5 star recommendation overall. I travel extensively (w st Regis stay on our next stop in Venice just completed) and would stay at Relais San Croce again despite confusion. Check out clerk was excellent on March 14 2023 in early afternoon.

Hotel is in a great location, close to both the train station, tram and Duomo. Hotel room is small but it's not unmanageable especially if you're just using it as a place to sleep. Only issue was with the amount of mosquitoes that were in the room, this meant that I could not keep the window open and spent some time trying to kill them as the noise kept me up at night.

A real gem! Perfect location - quiet, yet close to all attractions. Friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay. Housekeeping was one of the best we've encountered.

The room was very clean and called a family room. A small sitting area with a twin bed and main room with a king bed was well appointed for three people. The hotel was difficult to find from the street, because the hotel sign was partially missing and not lit up. The breakfast each morning was a nice touch. The desk staff did not have dinner recommendations when we got in our first night. Suggesting that desk staff knows local restaurants that are within 5 minutes for good, pasta, seafood, gelato and pizza. We were tired and didn’t want to go far with a 6 year old. The desk staff did give us a map. The hotel was walkable to the Duomo, the art galleries, shopping and close to the the train station.
