"Atmospheric Living in the hills above Cusco"
What a charming, serviced apartment hotel located in the picturesque and uphill, warren-like district of San Blas, full of restaurants, bars and tourist accommodations. Each of the five studios/apartments in this quiet hotel is comfortably and thoughtfully decorated with artistical and artisan touches evocative of Cusco Incan past.
We stayed in the Pakarina Wasi apartment (#1) located on the lower level, where one wall of the apartment is an Incan terrace wall. This clean apartment is exactly as pictured as on its website. The apartments on the upper levels provide panoramic view of Cusco, but I could still see rooftops and hilltops from the kitchen window. I have stayed in many serviced apartments around the world and the kitchen of this apartment is better furnished than most (blenders, champagne and wine glasses, lots of cooking utensils), which would make a very comfortable extended stay. The bathroom also has a bathtub (only bathtub in our 15 day stay in Peru) as well as a separate shower area. Great, consistent hot water for both the bath and shower. Wifi was the best in our stay in Peru, with a router in our room and not one dropped connection.
This hotel served the best breakfast we had in Peru. Breakfast is served in your room at a time of your choosing after 6:15 am. Each day you preorder your next day breakfast with a large choice of cereal, yogurt, eggs, ham, cheese, sausage, juice, fruit salad, coffee and tea and a wonderful artisan bread basket.
