Beginning with the positives, the hotel location is GREAT...it's rural and quite green...the hotel at the side of the river/ brook and with its nice lawns/ gardens, could be a very good getaway for people wanting to take a relaxing break and that is what this hotel is probably meant for...there are many outdoor activities one can indulge in. On the other hand there are things which need repair (bathroom shower, internet in the room!!!, air conditioning being some- maybe it was just room 127, who knows!). However, overall I would have given the hotel a 4 or even 5, diskeep notwithstanding- this property deserves it...BUT where it goes terribly wrong is the food...when one is in Italy, expectations run pretty high AND most importantly even the most humble of establishments fulfill those high expectations, if not exceed them. However, the restaurant here was not one of those establishments. The worst house wine I've ever had in Italy and some items on the buffet smelt as if they might not pass a quality check. Sorry, but food is sometimes a reason one goes to Italy and it simply cannot be ignored. I hope that the hotel can unlock its real potential and wish its management the best.
