Not a four star in my opinion. Food and entertainment not up to the standard we experienced at another Barcelo hotel so we were disappointed. Staff were friendly though and beds comfortable.

The hotel was noisy with dated brick pathways which made the cleaners trolley very loud every morning. The pool area was crowed, cups bottles left on the steps at night at the entrance. Our room was not clean, the wardrobe door did not close. Sofa bed filthy. The block areas echoed with noise and door slamming and looked and felt like prison blocks. Lastly the food was terrible! Definitely not 4star I would like a voucher refund to choose another hotel as I did not have a nice stay in this hotel very disappointed. I’m surprised this was even on hotels.com as I trusted your choice

A disappointing trip
We were disappointed in the hotel for a number of reasons: - drinks in plastic or paper cups all day, even in an evening (limited drinks included in all inclusive) - water dispensers available but limited. When you have young kids this is important - lots of ants in the room each day - some days there would only be 2 towels in the room for a family of 4 - service was inconsistent

Overall layout of the property was good, the bedroom was acceptable and clean. Problem with the Airconditioning which resulted in having to spend 3 hours in our room with 2 electricians in attendance. As an All Inclusive resort we were presented with 2 bottles of water in the bedroom fridge for the duration of our stay. Upon requesting more water we were told that we would need to purchase additional water, THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

Avarage not exactly what the photos advertise 3/10
Hotel looks better in the photos than in real life pretty dissatisfied with the rooms over looking each other not much privacy: reception staff are very slow and always a Q, plus point dining areas are spotless clean and wide range of foods we were only b&b , also disappointed that when trying to buy a beer from the bar at night they serve it in a small plastic cup not really what you want to drink your drinks from not much around hotel either need a taxi most places roughly 8-10€ ,, personally I would not return as I said above serving drinks in plastic cups is just not on for a guest,, would not return to this hotel or use the Barcello chain again,

This hotel is beautiful however they have not done a good job maintaining it. Some areas are not as clean. Our room had a very modern design which was a plus but unfortunately the bathroom was not as clean and the walls had mold, you could see the paint falling off. Despite that our stay was great, their all inclusive package is amazing and our favorite part was the pool and food.

The experience was kind of bad. The 1st room we got was not clean, hair on the floor, humidity and when showering all the water was going into the bedroom as the bathroom is inside the room near the bed. We asked to change room after that and the new room was not clean neither, still hair on the floor but at least bathroom was separate from the bedroom. Durning the moves between 1 room to another we forgot one pair of shoes and a toothbrush. When we realize it we ask at reception. We got back to toothbrush but no the shoes. Which is kind of really strange to me. The hotel could not find us a solution and it seems that someone either the clients that cam right after us in the 1st bedroom we've got or the cleaner stole the shoes but... I will not recommend this hotel, not only for the inconvenience but it seems that we were not the only one to complaining. Every time we went to the reception you could hear clients complaining. They also made us paid twice a room if we wanted to be 2 peoples in the room which is a nonsense for me. We paid for a single room for 2 people at the end 800 euros for 3 days ! And the services are definitely not the one of a 4 stars hotel.

For an October break this hotel was very good. Excellent food selection. Rooms modern and comfortable as well as clean. Staff froendky and reception very helpful especially tall slim guy..sorry dont know his name. Entertainment was also good during day and evening which we fidnt expect. Great value.

A wonderful stay at Occidental Ibiza
I was visiting Ibiza as part of a festival and specifically chose to stay at Occidental following the festival, to enjoy some downtime at the end of my trip. The hotel exceeded my expectations; the customer service at reception was always warm and friendly. Staff made an effort to remember my name - nothing felt like too much to ask. The pools are wonderful and well maintained and there's plenty of space around the pool to relax. There's clearly a mix of families, couples and solo guests but it maintained a peaceful atmosphere. The location is a short distance from Port d'es Torrents which is beautiful for catching the sunset or enjoying a boat ride across to San Antonio. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anybody that wants a mix of peace and quiet with easy access to the town.

Animation team were too annoying. Great beach.
The hotel is in a good location with a gorgeous beach and fabulous beach bar very close by. The buffet food is goodC drinks selection is very limited and basic. Served in paper cups in the evening. Not great. The worst part of the hotel is the animation team - so annoying. Too loud on the microphone all day. Spoilt the day. Eating lunch with someone shouting down a mic was really irritating and a massive shame. Coming up to you on your sunlounger with pointless requests to play beach volleyball or some other game. Just irritating and annoying. Too loud!!! No need for it on the mic as much as they were. Reception staff lovely and professional. Cleanliness of rooms very good but our cleaner left the sliding door to our room open twice. Not good especially when on the ground floor. Door left open all day. I was so annoyed. Advise you to get a safe if you want to keep tour things safe from someone walking into your room. Crowded sun beds around the pool and very old sunbeds... Uncomfortable. Bed in room is very comfortable. Overall it was good but wouldn’t go back.

Great for families, couples, singles...not ravers.
Port des Torrent is a bit out of the way and although there’s a beach bar you will need to take a bus or taxi into ‘San An’ or anywhere else for that matter. There is a water taxi at the beach but the novelty of that would soon wear off. Having said that, the Occidental is a really good hotel, great for couples, those with children and perhaps non party animals due to its location. My clubbing days are over so I really enjoyed my stay. The food is good, the rooms are lush and there are four pools! If you want luxury and to go out clubbing every night then factor in the cost of taxis both ways. It’s within walking distance to the bay for lesser nightlife.

The hotel has had a complete refurb/modernisation and has a great ambience. The staff are attentive and courteous. Our room was excellent with a corner balcony, spacious with a wet room/shower and separate wc and also large very comfortable king size bed. The food is very fresh and not repetitive at all. Drinks good. great value for money

Not a 4 star by any means (have stayed in many Ibiza hotels). Am contactgin Expedia as Laos taxes upfront but hotel insisted we pay again upon arrival?? Not happy with them or Expedia with that. Food average- not 4 star equivalent. Having to pay for safe in room isn’t my idea of 4 star as most 3 star hotels on island don’t come with paying for safe.

Long queues to get a drink at night as only one bar is open so basically takes 15 minutes to get served. Hotel is spotless very clean! Rooms are are very nice but food was disappointing

Food poisoning
Stayed at hotel for 4 nights, 5 days. Got severely ill on day 3, reported to hotel, no action taken - sickness & upset stomach. Upon return to UK was admitted into hospital for suspected food poisoning - this has subsequently been confirmed by Hospital as Salmonella. Did not eat anywhere else whilst out in Ibiza. Was not able to leave the hotel room and really ruined trip.

Great staff, everything really clean and very enjoyable stay. Two small things; lack of a proper bathrooms in the rooms is a bit weird, and the food could be hit or miss. All in all though, really enjoyed out stay.
