This was my 3rd stay at this hotel. Hotel improves the services every year. Despite Gloria Palace San Augustin was constructed in 1988, I would defnitely recommend to stay here - very good rate price/comfort/location. I am sure I will return back again.
Reception staff were very good, polite & helpful. Others specially the restaurant ones were a bit rude & one was agressive towards my son. Food is terrible, I would not recommend half board. Location is very good. Beach is not good, rocky and dirty. Pool area is very good. WiFi is not free, you pay like €6 per day for 4mb speed.
We stayed for 2 weeks food was nice entertainment was hit and miss good and rubbish but the worst thing was of a night in the bar in the hotel you just could not get served not enough staff in the end we bought a bottle of vodka from supermarket even though we were all inclusive and went to have a drink in our room same of a morning and night in restaurant struggled to get a waiter to bring a drink to table
The Gran Canaria Hotel is outstanding in every way. First class facilities, the room was amazing, I had the most brilliant views (overlooking pool and a full sea view). All the staff were very very helpful, there was a slight hiccup when I checked in about the duration of my holiday but it was all sorted and dealt with in a quick, professional way by the lovely reception staff.
We were on half board, which was perfect for us. The food was great, such an amazing choice both in the morning and evening and it was delicious. Again the waiters/waitresses were efficient and very friendly.

We booked these apartments thinking that it cant be possible to be as good as what it seems as sometimes they arent all as expected but after our arrival we were welcomed with a lovely young receptionist who was very polite and helpful. Our room was spotless with all amenities we needed, but not a kettle which was no problem to us, but im sure if you asked they would have provided one. We were on floor 3 with the most fantastic balcony with 2 sunloungers, a large table and 4 chairs, and it had the most amazing sea view, was superb. It took us just 30seconds down the steps to the beautiful beach. If you want peace this is definitely the place but if you want a little more liveliness there is a bus stop at the top of the road which costs pence to go anywhere. Overall I would say this was the best accommodation and holiday we have ever had.
This hotel was just perfect in every way. The staff were fanastic and so nice. The location was perfect and close the beach, walk ways, bars and restaurants also busses and the taxi rank were close to the hotel. Their own restaurent was wonderful and the food was super. The heated swiimming pool and terrace views while having a coffee was just beautiful. Nice piano bar and comfortable rooms with great balconies and again lovely views.

An extension of Playa del Inglés (Gran Canaria’s busiest tourist resort), San Agustin shares a similar stretch of soft golden sand but is quieter and more upmarket than its boisterous neighbour. It is popular with families and an older clientele. Nightlife is laid-back, though one of only two casinos on the island is to be found here. Family attractions nearby include a water park and Sioux City, a Wild West re-creation.
