Our bags were taken to our room and we had a welcome drink on the terrace overlooking the spectacular Douro Valley. We joined other guests for a family style meal and enjoyed getting to know people from many different countries. "It’s hard to put into words how beautiful, peaceful and serene this property is. We stayed here for 2 nights and I wish we could have stayed longer. Staff were very friendly, food and wine delicious, and the property was truly stunning. We spent an amazing day by the pool overlooking the gorgeous vineyard. The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night.
