We were impressed by the beautiful views from the balcony of our apartment and by the hotel itself. The apartment consisted of a large bedroom, living room / kitchen and bathroom with a balcony overlooking an inlet of the sea. As a family-owned hotel, it was lovely to meet them all and to be treated with such welcoming kindness. In the evenings, we were often somewhere on the island but if we were at the hotel, they shared their family evening meal, which was always delicious. We felt like we were at home. The rooms were cleaned daily except Sundays and were immaculate. The checkin was different but worked for us. There was two parking spaces which was handy for us as we hired two cars.The rooms are spacious and clean. The kitchen is well fitted out with most items required to have a family holiday. All the bedrooms are fitted with aircon systems. The Wifi is very poor, we could not get any reception in the bedrooms snd had to purchase sim cards to get any form of wifi as we were still working whilst on holiday and needed Wifi. I believe there is only one router between three villas which is probably the issue. The toilet seats are loose and missing the securing nuts whis is pretty dangerous should someone slip off and hit their head. The two showers are very average, one shower is missing the sliding door and the hose doesnt fix into its bracked firmly so moves around. The second shower is in the bath and sprays towards the opposite wall which then poors onto the bath then onto the floor. Easy solution is to fit a shower curtain. But in general the villa is very nice and the views are pretty nice. Despite the few issues we had a very enjoyable stay. Oh and you will probably need a sat nav to find the villa the first time you drive there, its up a very windy road. Try the taverners 1.4km down the hill, they are very good. We were looked after from the moment we booked the villa, the communication was flawless. The villa has good absolutely everything we needed to make us feel relaxed. The building itself is a masterpiece and tastefull. We relaxed by the pool and jacuzzi every day. The kitchen is very vell equipped. We also used BBQ.I would also mention that the house is in a traditional mountain village with its own tavern with breathtaking views and the nearest beach is not far either. We are really happy to choose this villa to be part of experiencing Crete. We loved every moment."
