The building is unique and charming and in a great central location in Venice and the staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a convenient dock for water taxis adjacent to the hotel entry but our arrival taxi was not aware (probably because we set it up instead of the hotel). We did depart from the dock when the hotel set it up, which was great.
Our room had a cool little balcony hanging over the San Moisè canal and the bathroom shower ceiling was very tight for a 6’ 2” person. Also, be warned, the bed was hard and pillows are not 4 star quality.
There is a beautiful little courtyard with an incredible grapevine growing in it as a canopy but it was way underutilized and sadly used for storage of dead equipment.
The hotel listing claims a bar, which was never open or available so this is misleading as you cannot get a cocktail on premises.
The morning breakfast was great as stated.
Overall, a good stay for a couple days in a prime Venice location but the accommodations are not quite 4 star.
