The staff was wonderful and the hotel very pretty! It about a ten minute walk to the main historic plaza, and a five minute walk to the Main Street with peñas and restaurants.

A sublime oasis of comfort and exceptional quality
Legado Mitico is a wonderful place to stay. A sublime oasis of comfort and quality. The rooms are spacious & classy. The service was superb. The staff were extremely helpful & the servicing of the room was faultless. They have a small spa room where we had daily massages from Gloria, their professional massage therapist.

Classy, great arquitectura, very clean. Breakfast could have been better, especially the scrambled eggs, which were undercooked like in many hotels in Argentina.

Truly loved the Legado Mitico Hotel. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was very satisfying. Would have liked if the hotel had free bottles of water in the room like all other hotels of similar class.

Elegant and quiet hotel near center
A beautiful old home that preserves the elegance of times past. Our room was lovely and quite large – on the street side, but it’s not a particularly busy street, and there was no problem with noise. We also had a little terrace where you could sit and watch the world go by. The hotel has multiple attractive places in the common areas to sit and read or enjoy a glass of wine. Within easy walking distance of the central plaza and with a very helpful staff. Highly recommended.

This hotel was fantastic- unique , filled with care, character, history, warmth, pride, and soul. Our room and balcony was the most beautiful I can imagine. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful- and the place was great location, and very special. Id give it a 6 on a scale of 1-5

Beautiful decor and quiet location that is central to the bars a few blocks away and the square. The staff was very nice. Would definitely recommend. They also had small perks like free glass of wine and bottle of champagne for New year's Eve. Very comfortable and good breakfast also.

I think we just encountered an 'off' day when we stayed here. The property is well located, with off street parking very close. Beautiful old building - and therein lies part of the problem. Our room was very dark due to limited windows for the space; it was very noisy, in part due to the nature of the building. Staff were very helpful on check in, and welcome drink in the library was a nice touch. Unfortunately breakfast was poor due to the one member of staff being rushed off his feet trying to keep up with demand.

Nice old hotel in Salta
Lovely hotel, very well cared for, with beautiful common spaces. Perfect place for exploring Salta. Only issue was that when we asked for a room on the back, away from the traffic noise, we were told that was only possible if we spent an extra $120 to upgrade our room. A bit steep! In the end though, the traffic noise wasn’t bad with double windows closed and ac on.

The hotel is a history lover’s dream. The rooms are each dedicated to a different historical figure. Their stories are told in a short, well researched biographies and reflected in thoughtful design, each room a unique experience. Additionally, the staff is lovely, quick to lend a hand or make a suggestion. The pride in their product and service is evident and commendable.

Historical-interest hotel in a good location
From the outside, the Hotel Legado Mitico Salta is just a wall with a door. But once inside, you find something that feels like an Old West style saloon, with supremely creaky wooden walls and floors, period lamps, faded line art, and short written texts with local history lessons saying who did what in the wars that formed Argentina. If you like that sort of thing, this will float your boat. If you are looking for a modern hotel with chic amenities, this is not it. I have to say that the service was outstanding in terms of concern, follow-through, and flexibility. We changed our flight to Salta at the last minute and my wife came down with a infection precipitating an urgent need for a hospital visit, and the cancellation of our dinner reservation, all of which the hotel arranged perfectly, calmly, warmly, and precisely. You could not ask for more. In short, there is a lot to like about the hotel, in spite of its worn-down nature.
