"They sold my room even though it was prepaid. I arrived at 11pm, tired and ready to get into bed (I would be up the next morning at 7am and would be on my way) and was told that they don’t actually keep the room type you book and pay for. You just get whatever is available. In this case, they had sold all of their king rooms, even though I booked and paid for one and could only offer a queen. Apparently it was an upgrade, which certainly couldn’t be “enjoyed” since I arrived at 11pm and would be leaving 8 hours later. Charging $25 for parking is also a joke. This isn’t a downtown Vancouver hotel. It’s a dingy airport hotel with constant noise - not their fault but bring your earplugs or you’ll regret it. "

"It is easy to get to the airport from Motel 6. Highway signage is clear. One benefit of the location of the Motel 6 is that there is a gas station right across the street, handy for rental car fill ups before returning to the airport. Also, there is public beach access, with lovely views, immediately east of the highway, just right for a short walk."

"The heater in our room did not work so it was always too cool. The bed was situated right beside the heater so the air was not able to circulate properly and it would shut down after a few minutes. The breakfast was adequate but the eggs, potatoes and meat were often cold or barely warm. "
