The location of the property and view is stunning. The staff are lovely though communication can be challenging. There were issues with the room but they tried to resolve as quickly as possible.

Lovely beach holiday
Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The nearby swimming beach and granny pool are just a short walk away. Beaches were clean and not to busy. And sipping on sundowners in the pool overlooking the beach creates a perfect end to the day.

Disappointing stay
Very disappointing. Room wasnt clean, floor had beachsand. Shower water leaked all over floor. Room stuffy and need to be updated, very outdated and tired. Parking was an issue, eventually parked in road. Club next door, had blaring music playing all night. Not worth money at all. Will not recommend to anyone

We stayed here for two nights in December. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is located on a beautiful beach and we fell asleep to the sound of waves every night. The staff were awesome - friendly and top notch. We ate our meals there instead of going out as we were enjoying the experience so much. I’d definitely stay again next time in KZN.

One night stay and a nice dinner.
I picked this place because the restaurant is good. I needed a place by the airport since I flew in at night and didn't want to start my long drive to my final destination in the dark. My dinner at Two Shrimp was phenomenal, I had the filet. The room was great, the service was great. Security is good, guests get to park inside the walls so your car is safe.

Perfect beach getaway
Wonderful stay! Beautiful facility with lovely rooms and views. I stayed in an ocean-facing room and couldn't get over the view each morning. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and I felt truly valued as a guest. The food was fantastic, and I decided to stay in for dinner twice instead of going out, just because the food was so good. Would stay there again and again and again. The only downside - which is super minor given how amazing the guesthouse is - is that it's in a neighborhood without much to do. However, embrace hanging by the beach each day and taking an affordable Uber or cab ride to the shops, and it's not even a real problem. Amazing hotel!

this is the place to stay if you in Salt Rock
Hotel is right on the beach and the service from all the staff was excellent. Breakfast on the terrace was really good value for money. The only slight criticism is the light up wall switches that shine throughout the night other then that this hotel is excellent

Less than ideal circumstances.
A beautifully located and decorated small boutique hotel. Had I been advised it was being used by others for a film shoot during my stay then I would not have selected it. There was nowhere for me in such a small, intimate hotel, to escape the lighting crew paraphernalia, the related loud music, the director's loud instructions/announcements etc. Honestly think it best the hotel takes no paying guests on such occasions as it is also playing host to noisy, disruptive film-shoots. Certainly small scale of this location means the hotel cannot (realistically) simultaneously serve the needs of its hotel guests AND such a film crew. I wanted a day of rest and relaxation beside the sea. I cannot say I got what I went for. Not my fault but the hotel's management.

well the see was great. from the moment we had stoped we just got a smile on ouer fases. It is a verry relaxing place to be with a nice book. With the gps we found it in a flash they also give directions.

Our stay all be it very short was delightful.It is a very special and intimate Hotel with stunning view and access to beach and sea.Lovely easy access to the King Shaka International Airport. 20 minutes by car.

Unmatched location, excellent service.
The hotel is in the best imaginable location on this part of the coast and the intimate atmosphere and service exceeded our expectations. It felt more like a private beach house and those who prefer big glitzy chain hotels should probably stay clear. The restaurant served the best food of all restaurants we visited in the area during our stay.

Nice beach, nice neighborhood
This is truly a beachside resort, and we spent a lot of our time either on the beach or watching from the deck. The staff is always ready to help and the menu is simple, but tasty. Breakfast is great! There are a few nice restaurants within safe walking distance, as well as some limited food shopping. The "garden view" is actually a parking lot and a bit noisy with chatter from people below, so I would spring for the ocean view next time. Wi-Fi in the room is so weak as to be non-existent, but you can get a reasonably strong signal from the lobby or deck if you sit in the right area. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the sounds and feel of the ocean.

I complained to the "manager" that I cannot understand that a hotel with a 4 star rating does not allow for a kettle to be boiled on the table. The cord was so short that I had to put it on the floor to boil. The hairdryer did not work, the toilet flushing mechanism was broken and to try and open or close the shower door was an absolute mission. the room numbe % that we were given this time was so small that you could hardly move around in it. Previously we stayed in room no 2 which was very spacious. I advised them that I would be writing to Hotels.com about this and they were not exactly disturbed by it. My other complaint was that they had a wedding vow renewal and we as the guests had no space to sit in except the dining room and the noise was terrible. the service in general is very slow and where in the world have you heard that they do romm turndown at 16:30 in the afternoon and don't bother to come back later. I most defibnitely will not recommend this hotel to any one.

Location spettacolare con qualche gap da colmare
La piscina sull'Oceano e la vista dalle camere fronte mare sono meravigliose, il personale è molto gentile (ci hanno fatto l'upgrade gratuito per le prime notti alla camera superior) ed essendo molto piccolo l'attenzione al cliente è sempre in primo piano. Di contro le camere standard non valgono il prezzo e la colazione non è all'altezza di come vorrebbe presentarsi l'albergo. Per il piatto caldo abbiamo aspettato increduli 50 minuti con solo noi presenti in sala, mancavano i bicchieri etc... Insomma il posto ha molte potenzialità ma al momento non le riesce a sfruttare a pieno.

hôtel bien situé en bordure de l'océan
nous sommes resté 3 nuits - séjour farniente au bord de l'océan. super de nager dans la piscine et de voir les vagues à quelques mètres. personnels très accueillant et amical; service de chambre excellent ! En plus déjeuner (très copieux et varié) sur la terrasse en face de la plage - tout simplement génial. à recommander
