Terrible! Bed Bugs +++ Beware!!!

Posted 23-Aug-2016
A very outdated hotel 2 floors with no elevators, you need to have strong arms if you have a big luggage and lift it two flights of stairs. Bed bugs all over the beds crawling over the whole night. We caught four big ones and who knows how many more hiding in the bed!?! Air conditioning was so loud when you turn it on. We left in the middle of the night. Would definitely not ever come back even it is free of charge. Absolutely horrible experience!

Old, 2.00 pillows on a main rd very loud.

Cons: Buy new non walmart pillows, upgrade breakfast
Location: Not much in a busy rd. Although salmon arm the town was a pleasant surprise...beautiful lkae btween the mountains. ......town has a nice waterfront pa
Old neede refurbishing . 2.00 pillows were terrible, on a very loud highway....included breakfast although welcomed,,was not very apealing nor very good outside of the eaffle machine. In comparsion we stayed at the super 8 in cochrane alberta , night and day difference.....and had hoped for the same wonderful experience in salmon arm.

Adequate hotel on highway.

Pros: The continental breakfast was OK.
Cons: Perhaps staff should spend the night in a motel or hotel where all their needs are met before even having to ask.
Location: Attended Salmon Arm Roots and Blues. Did not see much of the rest of Salmon Arm--except when lost!
Staff were unable to provide helpful directions to huge music festival in town at local fairgrounds. Sometimes felt that it was difficult for them to be genuinely polite and helpful. It was an extremely hot weekend. Our room faced sun for most of day and when we entered--after a 3pm check in time--the air conditioning was not on and the window was open about an inch. This was surprising as much earlier in the day we had done the paperwork at the reservation desk and asked for a roll away cot to be put in room. The reservation was made six months prior to our arrival, we had set in motion the payment, and no one bothered to think of our comfort when coming back after the check in time. The number of parking stalls were inadequate for the number of rooms available. Several vehicles had taken more than one spot--to protect their paint jobs I assume. We ended up parking in the lot of a service station and all night Mac's store where we felt uncomfortable leaving the truck. Did ask at the Mac's and after inspecting where we were the young man said it should be fine. Next year we will not stay at this motel. We were on a mini vacation and paid handsomely to have everything possible done ahead of time to meet our needs.

Very comfortable. TV lost "power" later in evening but only a minor inconvenience. Quiet motel. Overall a good one-night stay.

Ok for overnight stay

One night stop over. A little too pricey for a super 8. Need some fruit for breakfast.

Pros: Cheap and clean.
Cons: Breakfast could have been more plentiful/fresher but again, its a budget motel so my hopes weren't high.
Location: Tim Hortons, gas/convenience store, Askews's grocery.
Here for one night on our way to Alberta. Room was clean and beds were decent. Breakfast was disappointing. Watched a few people try the waffle maker with disatrous results as their waffles were stuck like crazy. The piece of bread I reached for was quite stale....I didn't bother to check other pieces, just had a couple of yogurts. Supply of yogurt was sparse but perhaps it was because we didn't arrive til later. Overall, it was fine for a budget motel for one night.

Pros: It was in a convenient location for us.
Cons: The breakfast; there was no elevator (had to hike luggage up the stairs); only one person on duty so had to wait. Also, time for an update!
Location: There were some fast-food restaurants, a grocery store and a pub nearby, all within walking distance.
We were less than impressed with this hotel- for $159, I expected more. The breakfast was mediocre. The room was acceptably clean but outdated so there were stains on the carpet and chairs. The air-conditioner was noisy. Though the location was near where we wanted to be, nearby traffic was very noisy.

Pros: It was in beautiful Salmon Arm, BC.
Cons: Update. Have more friendly and accommodating staff. Lower your prices.
Location: Went and had a great dinner down at the warf but had to get a taxi.
The lady at the front desk was very rude to the woman in front of us as well as ourselves. We were hit with additional fees for having 2 extra people but i booked 4 people and 2 beds? The room was extremely overpriced, small, and outdated. Not wheelchair friendly with no elevator. Very disappointed and unhappy with our stay. Will not be returning.
