The hotel is located in the very center of the old city. This is close to all landmarks! However makes it difficult to arrive with suitcases ( and we had a lot) Hotel is good and rooms spacious

My hotel room was very disappointing. It was misrepresented. Nothing like the pictures on the website. And an old air conditioning unit located in a small area away from the actual bedroom so relatively ineffective in the bedroom. No TV in the bedroom area, stains that had not been cleaned in the bathroom tub. Bright white hospital lighting throughout only natural light came through some windows that were about 5 feet off the floor that looked on to a roof full of pigeon poop and some trash. The ceiling slanted down to barely 7 feet high at its lowest. So it felt like a cave. The furniture was dated and the whole room was very uninviting. Fortunately, I didn’t spend much time in my room, because for such a beautiful town, the room is fairly depressing. When I asked to be moved, I was told I was given the last room available , and that otherwise they would’ve moved me. No four-star or even three star hotel should rent a room like this.

We are very sorry that your experience has not been good in our hotel, the room that I occupy has an attic, we do not share with you that it looks like a cave but it is true that it is not our best room, we take your opinion into account and soon we will make it more welcoming.

Great location everything in walking distance. Friendly helpful staff. Quaint, functional if somewhat dated rooms. No English language tv channels. Parking available at cost nearby. Bit noisy at times at night but that comes with the territory.

It was hard to find this place initially by car but once we did we realized it is because it is actually in the heart of the city. Near everything. Great restaurant bar next door (Tapas 3.0!) Clean rooms and nice, helpful staff.

In the epicenter of the pedestrian zone of historic center in Salamanca. Outdoor bars, cafés, and restaurants right outside the door and on neighboring streets. Plaza Mayor is a 2-minute walk away. Cathedral is 7-10 minute walk away. Marvelous staff. Excellent breakfast selection. Quiet, spacious room on top floor with balcony and amazing view (Room 45 on 4th floor...ask for it or Room 44). Very clean and up-to-date inside. Perfect! Parking VERY DIFFICULT in area.

An excellent hotel with perfect location in the old twon. It is steps away from Plaza Mayor and walk to all attractions. The room is large enough and has desk/chair as well as two sofas. The staff was friendly. The AC and internet worked well.

Excellent location
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location of the place is just hard to beat. A few steps from the Calle Rua, one goes one way and reaches the cathedral, or the other way and ends in the Plaza Mayor.

Awesome place, love the location
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel while attending the AATSP conference in Salamanca. The location is fabulous, right in the middle of things, mere steps from the Plaza Mayor. The management was wonderful to us and extremely sweet and considerate with my friend who had gotten an ankle injury hiking El Camino de Santiago. Breakfast was super awesome as well since it was downstairs in an old Roman ruin and offered anything you would possibly want for breakfast. Just don’t try to go down before 8:00, the lady didn’t like that. Amazingly she remembers how everyone likes their coffee! The room was great, had air conditioning. I would definitely go there again in a heartbeat, oh laundry place is just around the corner.

Great position in the old part of city
Excellent position for sightseeing a street away from the Plaza Mayor. Nice slightly old fashioned feel hotel - in a good way, with very friendly staff. Quite at night with a good choice for breakfast.

Excellent hotel, great location
Our favorite hotel in Salamanca, a city where we lived for several years in the past and a city that we love and have visited every year for the last 45 years; There are larger and more luxurious hotels but for the combination of location, comfort, cleanliness,price and friendliness ,the Rua can't be beat; Located right next to the Plaza Mayor, the heart of the city, it is extremely clean, and offers every comfort expected of its class ; An excellent buffet breakfast was included in our package; Only hitch is that it has no parking of its own although there is a large municipal parking a couple of blocks away; All of the city's magnificent sights, of which there are many, are within walking distance, as are many restaurants and stores.

Don't stay here if you have a car.
For an inexpensive hotel, the Rua was fine. The room was small, but to be expected in a European hotel. It was very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet in the morning was nice. The only issue we had is that we had a car. Our fault for not checking out the parking situation - which is truly awful in the center of Salamanca. The street the Rua is on is a walking street only, so we couldn't drive up, leave our bags and ask where to park. After driving around for almost an hour, we found a parking garage many blocks away and had to drag our luggage through the city. My advice - if you have a car, find a hotel with parking.

Great location and the best staff.
You couldn't get a better location right in the centre in a quite street. This is one of those few hotels where the staff do customer service and really mean it and obviously enjoy it. I had a minor problem which the evening and the morning young lady receptionists solved thoroughly and most cheerfully. I was treated as a visiting friend of a friend. Absolutely marvellous.

Superbly well located right next to the Plaza Mayor, the heart of the city of Salamanca, this small but very atractive, modern, and comfortable hotel has been our choice for years when visiting Salamanca, which we do frequently as the city has a special meaning for us; There are more luxurious , larger, and more expensive hotels in Salamanca, but none offer the combination of quality, price, and location, that Hotel Rua does ; AND, an excellent buffet breakfast is included in the already excellent price; Our highest recommendations...Only hitch is the lack of parking at the hotel itself, but there is a large municipal multilevel parking about two blocks away ( for a fee of approximately 13 € per day, about $17 ).

Nice hotel
My wife and I walked to the hotel, with suitcase, from the bus station. It takes bout 20-25 minutes but was no problem. It is a 3 star hotel with a quiet room and good location. The hotel provides a very nice affordable breakfast in a basement room that resembles a wine cellar. Price wise this hotel is a great deal.

Great Hotel, but parking 4 blocks away
We really liked this hotel. It's even hard to find with a GPS, but the location is excellent - right in the center of the old section. Parking is about 4 blocks away but reasonable price for inside parking in huge spaces with attendants to direct you to you parking space! Uphill walk from there to hotel but not too challenging. We contacted the hotel ahead of time to request a room with a view, and they were most cooperative. Room was clean and relatively large. We liked the breakfast (included). Loved Salamanca and loved this hotel!

bang in old city centre.
Couldn't be be better for getting around the old/historic city center, cultural sites, bars,tapas, food etc ideal location.Can be a bit noisy at weekends on lower floor at front but if your out and about that's not a prob.Park nearby at Plaza Colon underground, easy stroll to hotel.

For the price, this was ok. The front desk has a single person whi was sometimes helpful and other times not. The decorating is cute sort of what you'd see in a 20-something's room. Obviously done on a budget, but nice. The bed and pillow were very uncomfortable. And the tub/shower was strange- placed the long way in an alcove so you couldn't reach to turn it on without getting soaked with cold water. Breakfast similar to what you'd get an inexpensive chain hotel in the US. But the location is excellent! If you're on a budget and sleep like a rock regardless of the bed- it's a great pace to stay.

My fiancé and I stayed here for four nights. It was conveniently located to the metro and a short walk to the main shopping areas. The Gaudi house was a twenty min walk, la Sagrada Familia was quick metro ride away. A few restaurants close by, a bit pricey, but typical for Barcelona. Nice cafe across the street where we got our breakfast!

We were very pleased with the Rua. Our room was lovely and the location is ideal (very close to the Plaza Major and walking distance to the wondrous sites of the old city). Breakfast was ample - something for everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful. By the way, you can park for free if you find a space outside of the city walls (not a long walk).
