I loved the Kasbah fortified town architecture, the inner gardens, excellent accommodation and view from balcony. The bedding and pillows were so comfy... I slept extremely well. Food was fresh and abundant, coffee place aromatic. All staff worked hard and efficiently and the local musicians were present every night. An amazing stay!

Good place to rest, beach and pools nearby
The food and drinks are average but there are no limits. The food variety is better tan the drink selection.overall it's worth the money

Not worth it.
Nice landscaping is just about all that can be said. Although on first glance there is lots to choose from, the food is bland and boring at best and the poolside cafe is gross. There is almost nothing to do on the island. Go somewhere else.

Fine for a night's rest for a Sal stopover
Excellent value for money, a great place to stay if you just want to disengage your brain for a night. Food is excellent, and there's lots going on... but remember it's an institutionalised environment with everyone behind a fence (it's hard to even glimpse the beach), so can feel a bit like boarding school rather than a hotel at times. Very friendly staff, lovely entrance area and nice pool (even if a little crowded).

Not Like Other Rius
I think the stay would have been fine if I had not been to other Riu properties which are all much better. There is no in room mini-bar which is normal Riu operation. The Garopa side of the hotel is actually a little hike to the beach. I am used to Rius being truly beach front. At the beach there is a bar but no food and no bathrooms. The staff were great. The nightly shows were very good. I just feel this is not like other Rius in Jamaica or even Boa Vista in Cape Verde.

Enchantés de notre séjour
Toujours ravis par les prestations proposées dans les hôtels RIU, buffets exceptionnels, service parfait, espaces verts soignés animations soirées très réussies. Quelques points négatifs : linge de toilette très usé, transats piscine et coussins à nettoyer, qualité des vins et cocktails beaucoup trop sucrés.

Excelente opção, recomendo.
Excelente, recomendo. Empreendimento bem localizado, em frente á praia, com boa área na zona das piscinas. No que concerne as refeições, excelente. Bom serviço, pessoal prestável e atencioso, muita escolha de diferentes tipos de comida para todas as refeições, pequeno almoço fabuloso. Quartos espaçosos e agradáveis, contudo o colchão do nosso quarto já necessita de ser mudado, e o único reparo que temos a fazer de uma semana de férias, é que o pessoal de limpeza dos quartos é um pouco barulhento, sempre que tentamos dormir uma desta, havia muito barulho nos corredores das camareiras a falar umas com as outras. Programa de animação do hotel bastante completo, com várias atividades ao longo de todo o dia e noite.

Oh le gourmet !!
Personnel , services au top ! Pour moi , le point un peu plus négatif fut la qualité de certains produits et plats proposés. Je veux bien admettre que le ravitaillement sur une telle ile n'est pas très aisé. Mais à vouloir proposer un tel éventail de produits consiste aussi à présenter des fruits et légumes souvent insipides ! La présentation des desserts est vaste mais gustativement réduite , au gout très artificiel à mon avis. Les restaurants à thème présentent un menu qui ne correspond pas toujours au contenu de l'assiette. L'éco-responsabilité dans ce domaine est peut-etre aussi à prendre en compte. Moins de produits ,mais plus de qualité !

Jätte fint hotell,maten supper😊 Check in 3.00 check out 11.00 Alla inklusive, but lunches får man inte,på första eller andra dagen, även du betalar för frukost, lunch och middag??? Inget info att man behöver covid testet att checka in, det får du som överraskning på plats,då har du 2 val ,betala och göra testet eller ingen hotell, jätte besviken. Ingen möjlighet att använda internet, innan check in,bara, gör check in då får du koden.

No stress Cab Verde. Cats, coffee and great buffet
Amazing hotel. The only worries- the harassing sales men between the hotel and the beach. The coffee bar was awsome but should open before 10.30 am- should be more like 07 or 08 am. Not good fish at the Italian speciality restaurant, we all spent the next 12 hours in the bathroom. Krystal was great and so was the buffet. Sometimes looong wait for water/drinks when eating, like 15 minutes! Loved the cats- but be aware there are 5-6 of them playing around the hotel, sleeping in chairs etc, one friendly (orange/white/black) another not (dark grey). Amazing yoga class, fun water gymnastics, dart and bingo. Loved the big jacuzzi, my massage however was done by a not professional Terapeut- even though one pay 80 Euro for 80 min. Very good wifi in my room in building 5, but varied I understood.

Fuimos por tercera vez a Cabo Verde. 1e a Riu Funana, esta muy bien. La 2e y 3e vez a Riu Palace. ES LA BOMBA. Un hotel del diez. La comida, el entorno, la piscina. Todo mas que muy b ien. Hay solo 1 empleado que no le gusta su trabajo. Es Nilton del Sports bar.- El chico es horrible. Todo los de mas Mas que bien. Hasta el año que viene

Posizione molto buona, troppi inglesi che mangiano e bevono come ossessi, taglia media 130kg ... italiani pressoché assenti. I venditori di escursioni sul sentiero che porta alla spiaggia sono troppo pesanti, non dovrebbero consentire di esser tormentati così tanto. Spiaggia favolosa, piscina non troppo curata, lettini mai lavati. L’escursione notturna a vedere le tartarughe marine risalire la spiaggia per deporre le uova è stata un’esperienza indimenticabile. Le migliori escursioni le organizza un italiano un certo Gaudenzio originario di Rimini. Materassi in camera deformati (d’altronde se la stazza media dell’americano o inglese è over 130kg l’hotel può fare poco. Il divano letto era molto sporco e vecchio. Si mangiavano sempre le stesse cose, la pasta è immangiabile, il vino stile “tavernello”, spettacoli la sera mediocri. Sal di per se’ la consiglio per gli amanti del diving (mio marito) e gli amanti degli sport acquatici.

El Hotel esta muy bien, personal de recepción muy muy amable y atento. Las señoritas de la tienda de recuerdos, distantes y sin interés en atender al cliente, lamentable. Muy mal olor a cloacas en jardín a media mañana, existe un problema con el saneamiento del hotel, que no esta acorde con el precio que se paga.

Stort hotell, men ikke universelt tilrettelagt.
Vi hadde bestilt 14 dagers opphold og bedt om et handikap rom da min kone sitter i rullestol. Hotellet bekreftet på forhånd at de hadde det, men det stemmer ikke. Rommet vi fikk tildelt egnet seg i liten grad for rullestolbrukere, verken dusj eller toalett kunne brukes. De opplyste at hotellet kun har to handikap rom og ingen av disse var ledige ved ankomst. Hadde vi visst dette ville vi selvsagt valgt et annet hotell. Vi ble henvist til toalett i resepsjonen. Hotellet kunne heller ikke booke oss om til andre hotell da alt var fullt i Sal. Etter to dager fikk vi et annet rom hvor toalett kunne brukes, men ikke dusj. Det lå også lengst borte fra matsal og resepsjon. Den delen av hotellet var slitt og minner ikke om et 5 stjernes hotell. Lys i gang virket ikke og vasketraller/søppelbøtter plassert utenfor rommet. Utsikten fra rommet viste et stygt gjerde med jevnlig støy fra anleggstrafikk. Verandaen kunne derfor nesten ikke brukes. Oppholdet ble ikke som vi hadde forventet siden hotellet ikke egner seg for rullestolbruker, noe hotellet ikke opplyste oss om på forhånd. De tvert imot inviterte oss og bekreftet at hotellet hadde et tilbud for rullestolbrukere. Det stemmer altså ikke. WIfi bare i resepsjon med dårlig dekning. Daglig show på kvelden var veldig bra.

Didelis viešbutis, tačiau dėl didelės teritorijos to visiškai nesijaučia. Viešbutis gan toli nuo artimiausio miesto Santa Maria, tačiau atstumas pėsčiomis įveikiamas. Maistas kokybiškas ir pasirinkimas tikrai didelis, tačiau galėtų būti daugiau žuvies patiekalų. Puiki vieta nerūpestingoms atostogoms.

Vacanza da sogno e rilassante.
Bellissima isola, spiaggia bianca e lunghissima su cui fare stupende passeggiate. Oceano un po' mosso: occhio alle onde! Abbiamo fatto il giro dell'isola di una giornata con una guida locale simpaticissima. Da vedere: il porto mercantile di Palmeira da dove arrivano tutti i generi alimentari e non per la sopravvivenza sull'isola(immaginate che si importa anche l'acqua!)," l'occhio blu" di Buracona ( l'effetto ottico causato dai raggi del sole che si infrangono all'interno di una caverna naturale formatasi nel tempo), la baia tranquilla di Murdeira dove abbiamo nuotato con il mare tranquillo, le saline in cui fare un bel bagno caldo in un' acqua estremamente salata , la spiaggia nel cui tratto di mare si possono vedere chiaramente gli squali lunghi due metri che non attaccano l'uomo (vicino alle saline), la capitale Espargos vivace centro finanziario ed economico. Purtroppo nella periferia ci sono le baracche dove vivono le persone più povere. Per concludere Santa Maria che secondo me è la più carina con qualche negozietto e locali dove mangiare o bere qualcosa. Un 'altra esperienza da fare è quella di raggiungere Santa Maria direttamente dalla spiaggia con una camminata di un'ora e mezza circa. Ricordarsi di mettere la crema solare alta per protezione e di munirsi di acqua e cappellino! Arrivati al paese dirigersi subito sul pontile per vedere il mercato del pesce. Da lì, andando verso il centro troverete i taxi per tornare in hotel perché la camminata è bella ma pesante!!!!!

Reclamei do estado das camas e do colchão... Péssima qualidade! Fazia muito barulho, acordava quando me virava... Sentia-se as molas e acordava dorido. Não justifica um hotel de 5 estrelas ter este tão baixo nivel de qualidade de camas. As camas também apresentavam um estado envelhecido e degradado. Encontrei 2 baratas debaixo da cama! O cheiro do quarto não era o mais agradável.

RIU GAROPA - Rajskie wakacje....
RIU jest marką samą w sobie i nie za bardzo jest co opisywać w opinii, poza tym, że ... Wszystko na najwyższym poziomie. Pokoje bardzo duże, jedzenie doskonałe, obsługa zawsze uśmiechnięta... Baseny olbrzymie i czyste. Bardzo dużo barów w samym hotelu i na plaży. Duża ilość leżaków . Wszystko na wyciągnięcie ręki. O animacjach nie będę pisał, bo to rzecz gustu, ale są. Taxi z lotniska do hotelu 15 Euro - z hotelu do miasteczka Santa Maria 3 Euro... Nie warto dopłacać do Funany, Garopa jest lepiej położona w stosunku do plaży, jak i restauracji. Egzotyka w 100%... Polecam !
