Room upgrade made it better..
Hotel is not easy to get to if you have a lot of luggage. Had to take a cab and it cost about ¥1,200 from the station. But, once there, easy walk to Sakae. Starbucks just down the road.
Staff were amazing. Very polite and helpful.
First night, noise in the pipes (or something) kept me up so I requested to be moved. They did so without any problem. New room was an upgrade for sure...same size, but MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS. This is practically unheard of in Japan. So nice to finally have a soft mattress.
You can hear a lot from the outside even on the 15th floor with the window closed. So, that was a bit annoying at night.
Gym was my biggest disappointment. I only book hotels with gyms. This one has a gym...but you have to pay ¥3,200 per use!!!! I don't think so. This was not clear in the advertising or I would have booked my usual hotel at the station and paid extra.
