"Had a wonderful week long stay in the house. Not only is it set up with all you expect from a home, but the design is exquisite and the neighborhood quiet with a local feel. No problem finding a place to park on the street. I explored the region looking for a house to buy and Lormont is a great location to reach the sea towards Andernos or Libourne and Saint Emilion without facing much traffic. "Perfect getaway. Beautiful location. Peaceful. House had all you need. Air Con was brilliant when weather was so hot. Plus the lovely pool to dip in and out of. Creon was a short drive which had a Carrefour supermarket bars and cafe’s. Local restaurant just round the corner from house was lovely. Jean and Natalie the hosts made us very welcome and we’re on hand to help if we needed. Would definitely recommend. Jeanne and Robert June/July 23"

"The residential accommodation itself was spacious, clean, well looked after and with every facility one could reasonably require. The external kitchen BBQ area was simply we best we have come across in a number of years of staying in gites. The pool was very clean and user friendly although it was amongst the largest we have come across. The owner was simply splendid -providing plenty of information and help."

Clearly a well-loved family home and the beautiful house also has a fantastic outdoor area and an extra dining space, which is also well equipped, down near the pool and garden. "This is a beautiful traditional style French house of the region. It is a bit rustic in places, but absolutely packed with charm and character. The location is amazing - what you see in the photos is exactly how it is. The river is a 60-second walk away with easy access in and out of the water. The village is pretty, quiet and within 10 minutes drive of a E.Leclere supermarket and the main road. The house is spacious, has bags of character, has a fabulous outdoor space with chairs, sun-loungers...

The location was perfect for visiting the wineries and Bordeaux! The hosts are excellent! We had a question about where to eat and they came right over to help us! "We have had a fantastic stay here, cannot fault the house, it is spacious, clean, and has everything you could need particularly the kitchen etc. The pool is chilled and the gardens are lovely . It is a perfect location to explore the region , we did several wine tasting tours and explored Bordeaux, St Emilion and Libourne. Michel was very helpful with anything we asked for . "Virginie is a gracious and generous host. Always around if you need her, but keeping her distance when you want some down time. The house is beautiful and the beds were so comfortable. The setting was glorious and we all enjoyed the many and various sunsets. Lots to do in the surrounding area, but we mostly chose to relax around the little hamlet. Lots of pleasant walks around the vineyards. There was a little noise on Saturday nights from the property next door, which is a wedding venue, but...

"Nadine is an amazing host. She is very considerate and made us feel welcomed. She will go out of her way to help. The property was very clean and nicely appointed. The bedrooms upstairs were a bit hot but the weather was unusually hot for the time of year. It might be a good idea to invest in some air conditioning units for times when it is unbearable. We were very happy with our stay and Nadine was an excellent host."

"Somos una familia de 8, de paso hacia valle del Loira. Fuimos muy bien acogidos por Joël y su mujer, que hablaba español. La casa está recién remodelada con algunos detalles por finalizar (la puerta del aseo). Los cuartos eran grandes y los detalles estaban muy cuidados, con ambientadores y multiplicador de enchufes. "Very clean pleasant gite offering a spot opposite it to rest. Nothing special to do in the closed surroundings apart canoë but great base to explore a little further: Dune de Pilat and bassin d’Arcachon, Bordeaux the oenologue tour is interesting including testings, Montbazillac and Saint Emilion without missing the historique part of Bergerac. Very good holidays week. The owner is very cheerful. "

"Nice house in a nice location. Just steps to the massive Sunday market. We enjoyed meeting owner Sylvie. We would recommend letting prospective visitors know about the narrow circular stairway up to living quarters. Some older or disabled folks (or anyone with large luggage) will find the climb a challenge. Also, bring your own toilet paper, hand soap and dish-washing soap."
