Good boulangerie and a fantastic market every day within 5 minutes walk of the house. Wonderful fish and plentiful fruit and cheese."

"Fabulous property in a gorgeous village, then minutes inland from the sea. The house is well equipped and beautifully decorated with three large bedrooms. My daughter loved the table football. Opposite a great butchers and almost next door to a lovely boulangerie and the local bar. Gorgeous French restaurant just past the stone church. And la terriere beach is a strip of golden sand fronting the Atlantic. Lovely relaxing holiday."

"Absolutely fantastic property with all the amenities you need. Beautiful pool and a garden which the sun doesn't leave until the evening. Very clean. Friendly conceiege and contact with the owner on booking was good. It's a walk into La Rochelle itself but we didn't mind that. Supermarket a short walk. We would definitely stay here again, we loved it."

"we had an excellent week with Olivier and Nathalie who were friendly and understanding. the gite was the only one on the site and was connected to the hosts main house. we shared a pool with the hosts and were able to have swim every day. the gite was advertised for up to 5 persons but there was only two of us so loads of space. nice big rooms (for 2) and a decent fridge and freezer. great location for exploring Niort and La Rochelle plus the local area"

"This property is situated approximately 10min walk from the village centre and the beach.The owners were lovely,very welcoming and eager to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible.The accommodation has a very well equipped kitchen and lots of living space but we spent most of our time visiting the other villages on Il de Re or chilling out on the patio-.There is a table, chairs and sunloungers available and use of the pool also if desired.The main sleeping area is up a spiral staircase which...
