"My wife and I were very happy staying here. As advertised, clean, modern, comfortable, view of river etc. A pleasant 10-15 minute walk into town. In a very quiet road, easy to park next to the property in a sort of lay-by, (felt the car was safe there). Hosts were very friendly & welcoming and despite language barrier we managed well with the help of translation apps! No problems. Good restaurant options in the town in walking distance. Think we will visit again."

"We stayed at the end of July for 12 nights with our 9 year old son. The house is set up with everything you need for a holiday away from home with a wonderfully stocked kitchen. "A splendid house right in the town but in a very quiet street. Beautifully and tastefully modernised, whilst retsining it's old character. Easy access to all the town points of interesr,, but also easy to drive in and out ( with sat nav help!). Garage for necessry parking somewhat tricky but manageable! "Our family had a lovely time at De La Truffiere. It is in a quiet location in the countryside but fairly close to Bergerac for shopping and other conveniences. The house is well equipped and has plenty of space to allow family members to do their own thing. It was too early to use the pool but we enjoyed playing ping pong, going on walks in the country and dining on the patio. We would definitely stay there again."

"Very clean pleasant gite offering a spot opposite it to rest. Nothing special to do in the closed surroundings apart canoë but great base to explore a little further: Dune de Pilat and bassin d’Arcachon, Bordeaux the oenologue tour is interesting including testings, Montbazillac and Saint Emilion without missing the historique part of Bergerac. Very good holidays week. The owner is very cheerful. "

"Overall the property is adequate in a beautiful setting. I read all the reviews before booking and as many had already pointed out, you really do need to bring bedding and towels. As we'd flown and travelled light with only hand luggage this meant a trip to a supermarket for sheets towels and pillows we were also expecting a washing machine but this doesn't exist either. However as we were only here for a week we made the most of this beautiful place and appreciated the surrounding area too...
