The only negative was to pay €48 for 2 electric bikes to be kept in a secure store room for 2 nights, only to find that there was no power point in that room! So recharging them was unnecessarily tiresome.

Only as an expensive emergency
Did not expect to have to make our own sofa bed for the children, did not expect to have 10cm between the master bed and the sofa bed. You couldn't swing a cat in the room if you wanted to. Shower didn't work very well and bathtub sink was leaking. Breakfast buffet was very poor also. Very overpriced for what it was.

Lovely hotel
quick check-in and friendly. This lovely hotel is located an excellent to get everywhere. also this lovely hotel prepared some souvenir for my children. I think slippers will be great due to cold floor

Great last-minute option
We ended up with a last minute night in St Malo and the Ibis Styles was a great option, knowing that we could get a good standard hotel for a reasonable rate. It was perfect for what we needed at the time and the front desk staff were exceptional :)

Great location and friendly staff. Decent sized room. A little tatty in areas and the bright green paint in the communal areas isn’t quite in keeping with the architecture! But other than that we would happily stay here again.

Great location for exploring Saint Malo
Nice room, quite noisy at night/early morning but that is the location. Some vegan options for breakfast like vegan butter, milk, yoghurts etc would be nice.

Consistent Ibis quality inside Intra Muros. No parking but there is a public car park just outside the walls, a couple of minutes walk away. Very conveniently located near to restaurants bars and shops. The lift is absolutely miniscule but that is to be expected as they have renovated a very old building. Some of the Intra Muros hotels are a bit hit and miss so I was really pleased to find this one. The actual rooms are a few metres walk from reception in a separate entrance. Rooms clean and adequate. We had a port view room which was lovely to wake up to. Breakfast (included) was adequate.

Comfortable stay in Saint Malo
The hotel is in an excellent location just inside the wall of the old city. The hotel was sparkling clean and staff friendly and helpful. The rooms seem quite new and clean. Although a bit small, the rooms are comfortable and well thought out to maximize the space. There is a small, but efficient elevator. Future guests may want to request rooms facing the outside city wall which is a walkway around the inner old city with water views. We were street side and enjoyed the people watching from the big window in our room. Highly recommend this property. For the price it is a deal. I suggest doing breakfast on your own. The hotel is surrounded by pattiseries and great restaurants.

The best of Normandy
Excellent hotel location inside the historic walled city. Plenty to see and do in the city (restaurants, shops, etc.) plus round trip bus to Mont-Saint-Micheil and daily ferries to the channel islands and the UK. Very helpful tourist information facility located at the entrance to the city. The large tidal changes makes for an ever changing coast line and pedestrian access to several offshore forts.

Non French speakers should avoid this place
We had three rooms, they put 2 of us in an annex down the street even though we had reserved almost 2 months in advance. I had made a reservation for the wrong week and called them just a few hours the same day to correct. They were not wiling to help and finally let us do it for an extra 50 euros per room (even though it was like I said 2 months ahead of time). Reservation stated no refund for cancellation but this was not the case, it was a change in reservation well before the dates and pretty much immediately. The also told us not to let Hotels.com know about it and made us pay the day we arrived which made it look even shadier. Management trying to make a few exra $ and ruin their reputation.Well done! If I did not speak French fluently we would have lost 3 nights of hotels. American tourists should not stay there. Glad it was just for one night.

We stayed in room 2 which was allocated as a family room but it was very small and cramped, I would much rather had room 3 which was much bigger. There was no air conditioning in the room which was very much needed as we stayed mid August. On the plus side the location was great in the centre of the old town in St Malo. The breakfast each morning was excellent, fresh juices, cereals, and much more. There was a lovely beach within a 200m of the hotel. The staff were friendly and always on hand for information.

The hotel is well located and the room was fairly clean and spacious. Free tee and coffee in reception was a nice touch. WIFI signal was great throughout the building. Not having a bath with 2 young children was a definite negative however. The shower was very good though. Also our room got very hot, so on the weekend evening we were faced with a choice of boiling in the room or opening the window and listening to musicians and buskers until after midnight. The breakfast was extremely basic and the breakfast room tiny - definitely would recommend getting breakfast elsewhere as you can literally walk 20 meters and get better and cheaper from any number of places. Staff were courteous on the whole, however I was disappointed on checkout to be asked to stop my three year old daughter crying as people were trying to sleep - as if she was crying at my instruction!
