Good comfortable hotel well positioned in San Antonio. Rooms comfortable but inexplicably have “full size” beds that felt small. Cocktails and bar menu good but our experience at the restaurant was disappointing. Food mediocre and expensive, understaffed and zero ambiance. Will stay again but have meals offsite in future. Pool was good but zero service up there and ran out of towels constantly.

I enjoyed my stay at the Kimpton hotel. The staff has excellent customer service, from the check in staff, to the valet workers. The food in Dean's Steak and Seafood restaurant was absolutely delicious, from breakfast to dinner. I recommend making reservations especially on the weekends. The only thing I missed was having a microwave in the room. Also the pictures of the rooms on the website, make the rooms look bigger than they are. The bed was very comfortable. The cleaning staff was excellent. I highly recommend the Kimpton hotel. I will definitely stay there in the future. It's in a central location downtown San Antonio.

The hotel is really nice. Check in and out is cramped! Little areas for parking while checking in. The restaurants were fantastic on property! Staff was great and helpful but seemed house keeping was short staffed.
Biggest problem was the shower! They look great and are clean. The problem is when you shower the tiles were not laid correctly, the water runs on the floor for a heck of a mess to clean up, we used all our towels and then trying to get new ones was an issue! It took forever, finally gave up on house keeping and had them left at front desk so we could enjoy the river walk.
Our room was evidently close to where house keeping kept items and all we heard were the slamming or closing of doors. I've traveled extensively and we are always holding the door instead of letting it slam, staff need to be trained!
We had a great time in San Antonio but probably will not stay here again, cost is Not Justified! I've / we have stayed in many 5 star properties, this is a heck of a stretch for a 5 star property!
