This hotel is near the Latin quarter and is very well appointed. I thought the room was very comfortable with very modern facilities. Bathroom was really nice.
Breakfast was good and quite reasonable. Location was perfect.
Grand Hotel Saint Michel is close to Luxembourg/Saint Germain area, within walking distance to Luxembourg Gardens, Pantheon and Saint Germain/Latin Quarters. It is close to the subway, countless number of great restaurants and grocery stores. There's even an M&S Food nearby. The people here are friendly and courteous; the electricians are quick to respond, and act with skilled professionalism. Wifi signal is strong and reasonably fast throughout the building.
Nice accessible location in Luxembourg and it's not too touristy. Many bistros around (recommend le comptoir if there's not a line). Walking distance to spots like Notre-Dame.
Stayed here for almost a week. Would recommend it if your first priority is location.
The hotel is not super spacious but it's kind of a Parisian experience - enough is good enough.

This grandmother took her 20 and 17 year old granddaughters to the Hotel du Danube. I didn't know anyone who had ever stayed there and had no idea what we would find. I just waited to hear moans and groans about this very old very Parisian hotel!! Instead they were thrilled because it was unlike any place they had ever stayed and what they considered a very Parisian place. Since they had never been out of the USA, they wanted to "soak up" all of Paris. The quaint elevator, the sitting area and even our floor only had two rooms on the 1/2 floor on the elevator. We enjoyed breakfast there several times--delightful.
The girls and grandmother enjoyed Paris and the Hotel du Danube.
