"Paid for 3 night's stayed for 1. Studio was a shoebox, no hot water, shower head was not adjustable and water came out very hard. I had to stand on the side of the shower and stick limbs in for a quick wash. Restaurants in the area seem to have good reviews but we tried 2 and was unimpressed. I wasn't expecting fancy but a decent shower and an actual door instead of a screen would be nice. Could hear everything outside and above us."
"Room was clean but pool was not cleaned during our two week stay. Laundry facilities were good. Kitchen needed a few more basics like something to clean dishes and a few cooking implements like a spatula."
"We had a second floor unit with an outdoor kitchen. It was a unique experience. It had basic cooking equipment and a gas cooktop and large fridge. It looked over the pool. It was clean. It was a very quiet property. The bbq’s were not in good shape. The pool was clean and very nice with good lounges and shade. You can walk to 3 restaurants, one being on the property. You can walk to beaches with great snorkeling. The staff were helpful. We had issues with the rental car we rented from here though. We wer not notified about a $500 u.s. deposit and if they put it on the credit card they charged 4%. They had to charge and refund and recharge after 7 days which made no sense therefore we were getting hit with extra charges for a deposit. Last minute told to take the car to the unit to get refunded. We were supposed to take it to the airport. They did provide a driver but we were going to make stops on the way. We’re not able to do that. We used all our u.s. cash. The staff were good. We would stay again but not rent their car. "
"Everything was good. We had an issue with cleanliness initially, but the property manager took quick action and it it all taken care off. Offered us a free breakfast for our troubles and inconvenience. Other than that, everything else was great! We were expected to monitor electricity and water. Not something I believe people want to do while vacationing, but we were even close to the max. It was just an added stress during our vacation. Overall I loved the facilities, the beach and the staff. "
Bayside Boutique Hotel - Blue Bay Golf & Beach Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in the sunset suite and had a nice view of the ocean and sunset. The mini kitchen was nice so we were able to cook breakfast, something we enjoy doing. The beach is nice and we saw a lot snorkeling there. We had trouble with the WiFi in the bedroom on several occasions so we couldn't stream shows on the TV. They don't offer any channels, only streaming, so that was disappointing. The pool is small and we didn't use it, but enjoyed reading under the umbrella there a few times. There is construction going on next to the hotel for expansion, but it wasn't an issue. I tried to find out the projected completion but wasn't able to find out anything. All in all, this was a wonderful property that we would stay in again."
Kunuku Resort All Inclusive Curacao, Trademark by Wyndham
6/10 Okay
"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was okay, it became very repetitive with very little changes between dinner and lunch menus. Breakfast was always the same. I would suggest properly labelling the food items, especially the meats as anyone other than the chef knew what type of meats were being served. I also did not appreciate that the sushi restaurant was only available to persons who stayed for a week and longer. If you stayed for a shorter period, you had to pay. This was not communicated to us at all, only that a reservation needed to be made. I think once I'm paying for an all inclusive resort, all restaurants should be available to us, unless clearly stated beforehand (which it was not). All in all the stay was decent but I would not return. "
"The hotel is in a great location, very secluded, 4 minute walk to the beach. Staff is friendly, but could use more hospitality training. Beach club next door is nice, decent gym for exercise, great restaurant but closes very early, not exactly on schedule either. Tried to get dinner at 5pm since they close at 6:30pm & they were already closed. Restaurant in the hotel is mediocre & rarely has the items on the menu in stock. Rooms are unnecessarily tiny, bathroom is almost unmanageable with 2 people. No phones to call front desk to ask for things like toilet paper. Overall l wouldn’t return, l would stay closer to Willemstad & rent a car to visit the rest of the island, which l ended up doing anyway. "
