There was nobody there upon arrival. Signs said open at 3:00, but nobody ever showed up. We took key off a peg and unlocked our room. Front door to hotel did not lock felt insecure. Breakfast was fine. Laundry was advertised, but not available. Town was empty, nobody to ask for where to eat. Disappointing place.

It is in a quaint little town - walk up the streets for some restaurants. Our double room 4-5 was very nice. We enjoyed sleeping with the windows wide open and the breeze coming through. The place was very clean.

A charming hotel, the room was small but had a large terrace and everything was very clean. Due to a public holiday we had to self check in and didn't see any staff until the next day but someone was available to answer questions by a provided phone. The busstop for both the free navette and the paying bus was right outside so very convenient.

The staff at the hotel was lovely, the food was exceptional even if you are just in the area I would recommend dinner here.

The hotel was clean, as was the room. The staff were friendly and helpful, the resturant and bar were great, getting busy on a saturday night, reflecting the locals enjoy it too. The complimentary breakfast was a great addition too. We had a lovely stay at the hotel and will definately be returning next year.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were pleasant and clean. I found the mattress to be quite uncomfortable and seemed to be quite old. The location of the hotel was great and I really enjoyed the breakfast.

Fantastic hotel. Set in the mountains so has a great view. Chalet style hotel but well maintained and modern with an old style. Staff very warming and helpful. Only downside is rhe rooms are not sound proof so you do hear people banging above if kids are there but not unbearable.

Unique, but fun
This hotel was unique but fun. The rooms were small, parking was available and they made some excellent recommendations for food and viewing. It wasn't not high luxury, but clean and a good value in a really beautiful area.

Family run Alpine hotel
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel; well-located with some good restaurants nearby. Although the decor was dated, the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, so we slept well. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel was very nice. However, we got in late and there was only really restaurants nearby to eat. I was pregnant and starving and too sick to go out so my husband tried to ask if we could buy some croissants or anything for food and the guy acted like he didn't speak English (although he had just helped us check in 30 minutes earlier). After 40 minutes of him walking the neighborhood and not finding much, he ended up finding some trail mix we had and I was able to eat a little something without getting sick. In the morning the lady was very nice asking us if our breakfast was good multiple times and checkout was easy. The room was perfect for us. It even had a nice balcony.

Charming little hotel in the mountains
This was a great little lodge-type hotel in the mountains! Seems like a family-run place and they were so friendly. We came in during some snow, so the place exuded even more charm. The only complaint is that the bed was a tad uncomfortable, but the welcoming atmosphere and the location made up for that! Would definitely return!

Quaint with a beautiful view.
The La Tour D'Ai is in a beautiful location. The hotel has an adjacent bar/restaurant and service a nice continental breakfast included with the room. Our room had a small balcony that was great for resting and enjoying the view and sunshine.

It was a lovely hotel but a bit far from Montreux than we thought. It is more for a skiing holiday as it is very close to the action.

Charming hotel in Leysin, Switzerland
This is a charming hotel in a very beautiful mountain village. The room was cheerful and comfortable with a glorious view. The breakfast was excellent and included in the room rate. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.

A great hotel in a beautiful little town.
We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Hôtel de l'Ai & in Leysin. There was plenty of room in the bedroom & we slept well. The view from the balcony was great. The owner was very friendly & helpful & we very much appreciated the 6.30am breakfast on the day we left. The breakfasts were very good.

a traditional hotel with lovely views. basic but clean, warm and comfortable. only complaint was that we arrived at 6.30pm and they had stopped doing dinner. there were however 3 nice restaurants a 2 minute walk away. good coffee at breakfast!

Older hotel, but very clean and comfortable.
Had a great stay. Was visiting my son in Leysin American School with my family, and this hotel was the best value. It is an older hotel, but it is clean and well kept up - the views are amazing! The staff were very friendly.

Pro: location, friendliness of staff, breakfast included, size of rooms Slight cons (but not enough to deter a return) = no elevator, room could have been better maintained (knobs missing, holes in blankets), maid service not great (no replacement shampoo, sometimes no vacuuming), variety at breakfast (cereal, breads, meat and cheese = no fruit, yogurt, egg)

Just the job
La Tour D'Ai met our needs for an affordable, comfortable hotel convenient to the ski slopes. It was too far to walk to the slopes in ski boots and carry skis(the shuttle bus was only every hour) but we managed to rent a locker at the Ski Locker.

The most important problem is I couldnt charge my computer. There is no power plug in the room even in entire hotel. I asked for adapter. There was also no adapter. And breakfast was very weak.
