Max 7 people (6 adults). No parties or events. No smoking. Up to 2 medium dogs accepted. Please note that, according to the municipality's bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free. Lead guest must be 30+ years of age. A supplemental information form must be completed. The Magnetawan River runs throughout the Burks Falls/Magnetawan district, at times charging rapidly through rocky areas and at other times meandering almost imperceptibly through flat areas. One of these lazy river areas is just where you will find Bankside. Bankside combines traditional and modern, with the original cottage providing classic cottage ambience and a modern addition offering more spacious sleeping accommodations, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. As a welcome bonus, your group will love the games room on the upper level, complete with pool table and air hockey. Although you enjoy a wilderness feel here, Internet and satellite TV keep you in touch with the rest of the world. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free. Waterfront The cottage is set quite close to the waterfront, allowing magnificent views up and down the river from the deck and dock area. The water deepens quickly from the riverbank and edge of the dock, allowing for good swimming and fishing. Small craft can be launched directly from the property. Winter Notes The cottage is on a municipally maintained road and is easily accessed in all seasons, however the Huntsville/Magnetewan area can be prone to large snowfalls, so it is best to be prepared anytime during the Winter months. A supplemental information form (under 5 min to complete) which includes information on the guests and agreeing to our rental agency's terms and conditions is required to be completed to finalize the booking. More than we needed as a couple with 1 dog.The cottage a was a combination of ultra modern. Updated and original. Eclectic. Plenty of space and everything you need for kitchen good prep. The gazebo was in transition from that shown in pics to a newer type and not available for use on our dates.The one oddity was that I noticed tire tracks from a quad in the driveway and then noticed lights on in one of the out buildings - likely a bunkie. That creeped me out and shaded our last night. Made me in comfortable walking the property with our dog.Lastly having a checkout time of 11 when the dump didn’t open til 11\. - would have been an issue to return the dump card within that time frame. We were a week after the winter solstice. In three days we had lots of snow, then rain that washed much of it away. When the power failed (for only a few hours and during the day) there was a wood-burning heater that kept us comfortable. A risk you run in the country in the winter. But, if you depend on your cell phones, keep them charged. And have something to make a sandwich without a stove. We'd rent again. ##### michael m.
