"Spa was lovely rooms were very clean only thing wrong in the whole experience was very tight with the toiletries an the breakfast was warm an over priced drinks i don't mind paying for a bottle of wine but £40 is abit to much"

"The big plus was the room - very well-sized and spacious. The hotel was clean and quiet. There's a small bar, which was nice, though it closed quite early. Breakfast was quite good (without being spectacular). Location is very good. I would happily stay again."

"This hotel is centrally placed in Chester. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the check-in process was fast and efficient. Our room was nice but the bath and hand wash dispensers had not been topped up (the bath wash being completely empty). There was a lot of noise from banging doors where, clearly, the fir door closures were not properly adjusted to self close. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Parking is £12 per night."

"A really nice property and an awesome castle. positives: clean and spacious rooms, great staff, great onsite restaurant and pub, very convenient for walking into town, ample parking, great historic ambiance. negative: some remote sections of the castle interior could use a bit of touch-up. My sons loved it, as did I."

"Super comfortable bed! Quiet room with an opening window for fresh air. Some aspects were were showing their age due to the age of the structure (cracks in ceiling types of things) but updated and decor was beautiful. Great helpful staff. Close to the train station, reasonable walk to the old city center for an average fit person. Bar was beautiful but I didn't have time to stop due to sight seeing."

"A lovely old coaching inn with very friendly and helpful staff. Great food as well. Some parts a bit tired but that's to be expected from such an old building, which has so much character. Central location on High Street. Very spacious room (4 poster bed room)"

"My friend and I were in a twin room, clean and tidy. Hotel itself needs updating in places - carpets in corridors, paint work - nothing major Staff very accommodating, friendly and helpful Breakfast good value Facilities great - pool, Jacuzzi and sauna used - not gym Stayed for short breaks at this hotel a few times over the last few years Will certainly be using here again"
